I thank you for that BM, you're doing a great job, and a great service. I have so much more to say but I figured I'd save it for an introduction *smiling*...I haven't been here long enough to know if there is an introduction section, or to find it lol... But I will say this on this reply, a big thanks to Bullitnut (still not sure why he chose that handle *smiling*, I'm guessing he's a big Steve McQueen fan, esp. bullit lol... I guess I'll find out as I get to know him better)... That is how I found this forum, through a link that led me to BN's homepage. Great help that was as I was considering a HT (have been for a couple of years now) with not Norton, but one in Leeds that actually has the same advertised consultant so-called specialist... I'd read about Norton's bad press 'n bad results when I did research on this a couple of years ago, and I also wouldn't trust them to give a top consultant, they have g.p.'s like Norton doing the work... So I did rule them out long ago through research... I knew Dr. Norton had been 'struck off' for carrying out Liposuction (as a g.p. and messing that up really badly too)... But Bullit's page really did hit me 'n I must admit I really felt for the guy. I don't know him yet, but he seems like a really great bloke.

Maybe no rush for that introduction now *smiling*, I joke a lot, my sense of humour is usually pretty high, not always lol, but I'm a real serious bloke about anything or anyone I feel strongly about. It's my character *laughing*. Hey, you've got Shang lol, you can probably cope with me *smiling*...

Good work, in fact, a great forum, I've been a member of many of different kinds and this is honestly one of the best group I've ever come across -x-

Well done -x- (my intro. in part lol)

Wl.

*Laughing* Thank you Bullit, really, I'm smiling at this very moment and I have this thing where if I'm laughing I type *Laughing*, smiling I type *smiling*, or grinning but shaking my head in confusion *laughing*, well, you get the idea mate... I smile 'n laugh a lot, not all the time, but it's just something I do *grinning*...see lol... I do use the emoticons when they're relevant to what I'm feeling at that moment lol, 'n there are some great ones beyond even my words ;;D... But I'm kind of a non-conformist *laughing* in some ways, I prefer my own descriptions 'n feelings sometimes... Oh I like this one)(_::lol... I'm still getting used to this forum, but I very much doubt my eerrmm habits will change lol... Hope that ends the confusion *grinning*

So great you replied BN, thank you, thank you for the welcome, much appreciated mate, truly, and thank you for your site 'n info. on your personal experiences, it hit home with me 'n I found it really educational 'n it led me here, so thanks for that -x- I look forward to meeting you more on the boards 'n threads -x-

By the way, the -x- I add is kind of a buddhist love thing of appreciation *smiling*

NN, just saw your post 'n I thank you for that welcome too -x-

By trade I'm a psycho-therapist, though I'm not practising now due to illness, I've researched many things since my teens (I'm now 38), nutrition to anatomy 'n cells, that may be useful here, if I can help I will... I also feel this is a great site to learn from others' wisdom 'n experiences and I look forward to meeting you all -x-

Steve -x- (aka Waylander or WL)

P.s. The pleasure is mine

Thanks Bullit, Bigmac, what a welcome ¬b`, but I don't live anywhere near Leeds, my eldest bro does and I seldom see him 'cos of the distance, we mainly keep in touch by phone 'n email. I've seen him only a few times in the past years, and they included when I phoned him because our mom was dying in hospital, moms' funeral, and the scattering of her ashes.

I suffer with M.E. have done for 4 years now. It's affects brain function and causes muscle and joint pain, often with mass fatigue. It affects the immune system, and the mitochondria of cells don't absorb glucose properly to produce energy, instead you get more lactic acid (which is what you normally would get when you'd pushed your training session too hard and your muscles cramp up *grinning*)... There's much more but it's boring science to non-sufferers *smiling*...

I'm much better than I was two years ago, I've researched almost everything out there and I'm still researching. I've spent £ £ £thousands on health supplements to find a cure. I research them too, all kinds. And to say that 4 years ago I had pain just walking and couldn't finish my sentences or remember things (short-term memory) I'm loads better. I had to re-learn how to spell and re-learn how to type. I can even manage some training again now, as long as I regulate it and listen to my body. Otherwise I relapse, and relapses are really bloody painful, plus you never know how long they're gonna last...

My brain function is far better too, almost normal, as long as I don't use my brain too much or for too long. I got my M.E. through severe long-term sleep deprivation. I lived in a really noisey apartment and I always worked too hard and was never a big sleeper. Now I've started 3 books, one to help other M.E. sufferers (as I'm still determined to cure myself and my methods seem to be working, albeit slow), one to help Teenagers (hey, I'm a good therapist *smiling*)... and I've also started a novel, which I'm loving working on...

But I think it would be cool to meet up with you guys when I get even more functioning back, and I will *smiling*. We could maybe even get some pics for this forum. Sounds brill to me:::C, as does the beerZ:B *laughing*...

Thank guys, and I hope you're doing well -x-

Steve -x-

P.s. Is this a long reply? *grinning* ...Hey, I can spell and type again, and even my brain works much better *smiling*, I'll get even better yet, but I'll never work 87 hour weeks again without getting enough sleep. No way in Hell lol

Hi guys, I came across this on Youtube about a week ago, strangely enough *smiling*, whilst searching and watching 'interviews' *grinning*... Some of you may have already seen it, I hadn't but found it interesting so bagged it...

It's Patrick Stewart (you know, Cpt. Jean Luc Piccard from Star Trek *smiling*) being interviewed by Michael Parkinson, and this clip is him talking about his experience of going bald, I think it's quite true and inspiring so thought I'd share with the group lol... Here's the link...

Lol. I'm not a million miles away, I'm still a Yorkshireman 'n proud of it *smiling* ...Aye I remember when I was a lad wi worked 27hr's hars a day darn pit *pmsl* 'n had a lump a coal far as tea, wi war lucky to get tha too *pmsl*...

I'm nearer to Halifax, quite a way from Leeds, almost Lancs. more so as I don't travel too far now with M.E., don't drive either, don't have the reflexes or functioning anymore. But I am a damn sight nearer than Bigmac, that's some travelling from Sunderland. I'm still working on getting more functioning back, and I will too, also balance out the symptoms more. Then we'll have to meet up. *Laughing* I'm thinking it'll be a riot *smiling*, I'll buy the first Z:B too *laughing*.

Getting tired now which is a good sign *yawning* (excuse me lol), means I'll sleep_B:.

Take care Bullit, hope you're well mate -x-

Right now I'm on a course of anti-viral treatment for my M.E. 'n throwing my guts up *pmsl*, as well as limping around the house because my lower legs have swollen (okay I'm really not enjoying that part, plus my research hasn't told me why that is happening) but apparently the effects I'm getting (just started the treatment two weeks ago) mean that it is working on my immune system (Hertziemer effects). I'm trying to move house (which isn't proving easy finding the right place, though I should be nearer to Leeds when I move). And after 3 months on this Anti-viral treatment (which I'll take for a year) I'm going to try another drug I researched called LDN, which has had great results on M.S. 'n M.E. sufferers.

Oh I still laugh, but I'd prefer to meet both you BM 'n Bullit together when we can go out 'n have a couple of beers LOL, without me throwing my guts up *pmsl* and limping around in pain. Plus I should be moved 'n settled then and have even better functioning.

Now that to me sounds like a night to remember Bigmac. I'm also meant to be going on Holiday with my eldest brother next summer, maybe Mauritius, Maybe Brazil, so I fully intend to get more functioning bakc. Less I don't stand a cat in hells chance of making it.

The problem with the treatments I'm trying is that I'm on the strongest ones I've researched so far, so the physical effects aren't fun, in fact they're bloody painful. Moving home is not gonna be easy but I should be nearer to Leeds then 'n we can have a real laugh together with Bullit too.

Cheers BM, you're a real mate, you've got heart 'n I thank you for it -x-
