Has anyone used this stuff as i found it to be rubbish and very un-natural looking. It also made my hair stiff as a board. It was a year or so ago that i used it but i would personally not recomend it.

BigM...

I was given this stuff by the London clinic that did my original crap HT years ago... they told me to use it while my new "as mother nature intended" hair grew out (bollocks)...

Anyway, the stuff was terrible, looked like I had dyed my hair with powder... when I think what I must have looked like !! Tonnes of that stuff and all held together by loads of hairspray !!... and I had to take a can of hairspray where ever I went to re-fix every now and again !!

I remember being caught out in the rain, ended up with brown streaks all over my face and shirt ! Had to rush home and get changed....

All in all.... 200% crap... and thats the best I can say about it !!

Stick to Nano.... and Derm... thats my advice...

That stuff was gross... my hair was not the only place it ended up... I had to shut myself in the bathroom... I remember cleaning the top of a cupboard a few months later... it was thick with the stuff...

Once you had it in your hair it was impossible to style... I had to make sure I was up each morning an hour before my normal time... as sometimes it looked so bad I had to wash my hair and start all over again..

I made all sorts of excuses not to stay anywhere apart from at home for the time I had to use it... the couple of times I went to bed without washing it out the pillow and sheet looked like some sort of H Block protest... and there is no way I could have applied it in secret in someone elses home...

I shudder now just thinking about it...

Horrid stuff !! ;;::::/

Yea Tim

It reminds me of someone putting soot in their hair out of desperation.

I never tried any of that stuff but Pat from HTN had once recommended some stuff called Prothick. I remembered using it in the morning before I went to work and I was already a little behind schedule. I looked like a fool. It was like a wax mixed with paint. I didn't even have a matching colour. The only good thing is that it was more blonde so it looked like I had purposely tried to bleach it. There were no comments but I am sure others were wondering what the hell was up. I had the Flock of Seagulls look going on.

lol!
does anyone know what type of concealer would work well in the scar area if you shaved your head once the staples are removed? I'll probably do this and it would be nice to have the option to go w/out a hat.

Hi NG.

I would say Dermatch is the best at concealing your donor scar, you not wanting to walk around looking like Krusty.

Bn,yea you will soon have a nice mop of hair, take you back to your youth.

NN,i too have tried that Prothick and it is very similar to Mane, utter crap.

Its quite saddening thinking of others trying all these products out of desperation to conceal their hairloss.Hopefully people will see posts like this and find out what works well and what doesn`t.

What a Tool
NGTGB,

After I had the staples removed, my scar was still a bit sore with some scabbing etc so I wouldn't have wanted to put anything like concealer on it at that early stage.

Just my opinion.

When you look at the last pictures you can see it has the appearance of being powdery.

I`ve tried this and it lookeed like i had soot in my hair.

Imo its rubbish and does not look natural at all.
