Just seen this and to be honest i just don't get why he felt the need to even undergo any work. I appreciate everyone is different and we all have different issues regarding our own hair loss so i can only wish him good luck....but to me he looked fine before and i imagine judging by the post op pics he will look worse afterwards*nl (just my opinion)

This is getting out of hand. I initially thought that the exposure the procedure was getting because of and since Rooney would help the industry, and it has, but it has had what I feel may be a negative effect on the public. They think they can just go get whatever hairline they want to address their issues and that there aren't any long term consequences.

These are the issues I raised here.

With hair transplants becoming mainstream, there is a huge rise in aesthetic and cosmetic clinics adding it to their portfolio of procedures with zero or very little experience. They are in it for the money, simple as. Lots of do called hair transplant clinics are the same, a couple of salespeople who are good at marketing, hiring any old doctor to perform surgery and screwing people over.
It's going to get worse before its gets better.

This is a scary era we live in nowadays and i just hope the UK's hair transplant reputation doesn't get dragged back down to what it was years ago with all these cosmetic clinics trying their hand at something they know nothing about.....especially as there are some truly excellent clinics here now.
I dread to see some of the long term consequences of some of the recent surgeries flaunted in the media and agree people do seem to believe they can achieve any hairline they like...... no matter how unnatural and unrealistic it actually is;;D.

It`s not just the UK, it`s a worldwide epidemic that will get worse before it gets better.

This is what I've been saying for a while now. Patients have access to more information than ever but at the same time there are more clinics than ever as well and, in my opinion, most have much lower standards of care and ethics than what should be the minimum.

I firmly believe that we are witnessing the decline of standards as once the old guard have closed up shop and moved on we'll be left with a lower bar of what looks natural and what a patient can or should expect for their care.

It`s disheartening seeing these b-list celebs having work done after zero research. Poor hairline design, no magnification used, probably end up with 2 hair grafts in hairline, piggybacking grafts etc. They really have no idea what they`re doing. Then you read the news story, I`m so happy my result one-day post-op.

So this guy has his HT in October and according to press reports he's showing off his new results from his recent transplant one month later)(_::

Wake up and smell the coffee it's his old hair styled to cover the area he had surgery on as it's not possible to get results at 1 month post op. These guys are clueless.
Another point that made me laugh was the Sun newspapers comment when he first had it done that Stated as a caption below his picture that His results should be visible within 1 to 2 months.

Ashamed to say I also read this article, gave me a good chuckle though. It's ridiculous how uneducated journalists and the media are in regards to hair restoration, especially in The U.K., maybe they could go this forum to actually learn about it in greater detai before publishing such nonsense, also love how they also describe HT's as "painstaking" and "gruelling". Utterly laughable.
