Hi it was a good experience bullinut.
Didnt find getting my hair shaved the most joyful experience as I look like an orang-utan, however, I can see the advantages of this and would have to say I feel its a must unless its really minor work. Existing hairs getting caught up in scabs resulting puling on grafts, possible temptation to use styling products etc ....
I bled really badly on the second day and this resulted in extremely bad crusting / scabs which I was somewhat concerned about
Bart asked for photos sooner than normal due to this and as a result instructed me to have my first wash/ shampoo of the implant area a day early ( day6 today ). I cant describe how good it felt to do this and see what what was going on on the scalp not to mention the removal of the constant temptation to want to itch at it , unbearable !
The first shampoo ( keratene supplied by Bart) has removed about 3/4 of the crusts scabs and revealed a slight red area at the front. Dont believe I lost any of the grafts in this first wash as dont believe I bled at all .
No real issues travelling other than getting the 2x 100ml aftercare products through customs at brussels . I opted for a flights with KLM newcastle to amsterdam then connecting flight to brussels as this was £300 cheaper than the bmi direct from newcastle .Didn't find the local taxi drivers particularly knowledgeable of the local area which was odd.But the trains were good and you can pay whilst on the train which is a bonus.
Stayed in the Bristol Hotel which was within walking distance of pro hair clinic , unfortunatly it rained whilst there so got taxis. Hotel was basic but had good wifi which was a god send. Had some bites from staying in hotel though so maybe bed bugs or similar.
