I went over to Dr Mwamba early November and had a 2 day fue session booked to repair and densify the hairline and 2 zones behind into the midscalp a little. I stayed a minutes walk from the clinic which was convenient, the street is a quiet area which seems part residential with a range of shops also in a central location 10 minutes walk from the main shopping areas. There is a large grocery store next to the clinic so had everything I needed on tap. The clinic is very modern and there is a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you walk in, first day started at 1030 and went until 2230 so a long day but started at the midscalp with 235 grafts and the doc worked his way forward, total of 900 grafts the first day. I liked the fact that nothing was rushed and the donor grafts were carefully picked as I have had 2000 with a previous clinic some years ago so extra thought was required and all the protocals seemed spot on, couldnt be happier with how the donor has healed and looks.
2nd day finished up with the hairline and extracted about 4/5 misplaced grafts from previous ht and we left some single hairs just infront of my leftside hairline as doc felt these would balance things out and compliment the result (can see them in one of fotos I posted). The strangest sensation was a device that pumps water into the donor and makes it swell to reduce bleeding, feels like someone is drilling into your head but with no pain lol. After finishing over next 4 days I had 6 sessions on the tri-wings led light which has def helped post op. Its a mixture of red, orange and another colour light I cant remember that reduces inflammation and red light increases blood circulation and stimulates the production of collegen and elastin I was told AND. In days that followed and over the weekend I went to the clinic and had my hair washed, I certainly felt like a VIP patient everyone there works in harmony with each other.
So 24 days now and waiting to see what happens as most of grafts are in place and growing still with a few staying short as they were. Pinkness almost gone now, Will update when things start to happen. I have other pics I may post when I have time to sort them.
