My Hair Transplant Diary

Hi everyone,After months and months...and months of researching I have finally booked in my HT with DHI in Geneva. A 2 day (FUE) giga session on April 29th and 30th 2015.
I've recently relocated to Switzerland (from Australia) for about a year with my girlfriend, and conveniently the clinic is only half an hour away by train. Even though it's not that far, we have still booked into the Hotel Central in Geneva which is about a 1 minute walk (happy with that!) from the clinic as I really didn't want to be dealing with the public over the two days of my session.
Below I've added some photos of how my hair is at the moment. I'm 32, started receding at about 20yr old. Have been using Rogaine and Propecia on and off for many years, and while I feel that it did slow down the progress, I was never going to have the results a HT would give me.
Can't work out how to add more than one image. You can view them all here though - http://hairtransplantdiary.com/before-ht-photos/
I'm putting together a Blog of my HT Journey too, link in my Sig.
Cheers, Ryan.

All the best Ryan for your upcoming surgery. I added your pictures via your gallery under your screen name.

How many grafts are you going to have.

Well tonight is the last night before my 2 day procedure at DHI in Geneva. Getting really excited to see the results and I'm sure getting any sleep tonight will be a challenge.

I've updated my blog and have also added a 4K video of my hair prior to the HT tomorrow. Link to my blog in my signature below.

I'll hopefully update the blog again tomorrow night with some video and photos post day 1.

Hey guys, well the HT is all done. Finally had the energy to update the blog and comment on here. It all went well, a little painfull at times, but mainly near the end of the extraction and the implanting when the anaesthesia was running low. Nothing I couldn't handle though.

Here's the breakdown:Day 1: grafts 1350; 1X378; 2X550; 3X326; 4X86; 5X10 --> 2850 hairs Extraction ratio: 2.11 everything implanted on A zone
Day 2: grafts: 1005: 1X200; 2X465; 3X284; 4X54; 5X2 --> 2208 hairs Extraction ratio: 2.19 ; 70% implanted on B zone; 30% implanted on C zone

Below are the photos from today, day one post op. Check out my blog too, heaps more info on there :)
So stoked to see a hairline, been a while ;) lol There is a fair bit of swelling going on though and the Dr said that once it has gone the hairline will drop even further.

Thanks for the support Dazz! Yeah mate, really excited for the future. First thing I'm looking forward to is the actually healing process lol. Can't wait for the donor area to clear up and to get rid of the scabs etc so I can feel comfortable in public.

Well the swelling has arrived! Started yesterday on my forehead and now today it has moved lower to the eyebrows. My left eye looks like it was stung by a bee lol

How long should this last??

Day 2 Photos now on my blog (no images of the swelling)
