My HT at Cosmedica Istanbul

Hi everyone My name is Michael and I am 31 years old. 9 month ago I went to Istanbul to get my hair transplant done at clinic Cosmedica. I've been researching for a couple of years now and I always wanted to have my hairline back again, since I started to recede at age 18-19 years old. So Cosmedica in Turkey was the place for me to go. I know a lot would say that Turkey is a risk to go and get your hair done, but honestly I wouldn't change it for the world! I am so happy with the looks at 9 month! I'm not gonna write a long review, I just wanted to show and tell that my experience with Cosmedica was great! Here are some before and after pictures. If you have any question, feel free to ask :)

Looks great mate! You must be delighted, especially since you prob still have 3 months of growth to go.

I'm exactly 2 months since my HT, getting impatient now. Have started to see some black hairs spring up in my donor area and also have a lot of colourless hairs so I'm hoping that things are beginning to happen shortly!

Hi Guys really appreciate the posts! My friend went to Turkey a year ago, we where always balding buddies however he went and the results he got where very good. He went to transest however I am going to go with cosmedica because they have a lot of positive reviews on whatclinic. The problem with what clinic is its mostly reviews more or less straight after and not of the results. Thats why its good to see good results here.
Papuzon did anyone notice you had a hair transplant? How long does the ugly duckling phase last?
I have six weeks off work however my main concern was and slightly still is what people might say. Maybe I just need to get over that.
However is it best to grow your original hair long so as to cover the recipient area?
All the best and thanks!

I also forgot to ask about the angle of the hair? My friend who got his done in Turkey said that the hair stands upwards, do you find that the angle is always up Papuzun?

Hi whatyawant

No one have asked me if I had my hair done, so that's great! People who know says you can't see it, if you don't know it, and my friends are thinking about going to get their hair done after seeing my result. For the price I paid, I would go again if I had to!

I was out of the duckling phase around 3,5 month, but I was wearing a hat for almost 3 month, so no one noticed my hair was short :) I used alot of good products like American Crew hair growth shampoo, biotin pills, healthy eating, minoxidil, scalp tonic and that made my hair become very thick and grow fast.

I haven't really had any problem with the angle of my transplanted hair, they go the way as the original hairs, so my hair can be styled normally without any problem :)

Yes, just let your original hair grow to cover, that would be the best solution I would say.

If I style it with a slick look.

Or a normal messy style like this, is also no problem. So the transplanted hairs don't cause problems in styling my hair, some few ones are maybe not perfect, but it's extremely minimal and that's why I think Cosmedica have done a good job :)

thanks papa zone yeah that result is brilliant! It's great to have those cheaper solutions now we really are very lucky. I will still be a bit nervous coming up to when I do it! I suppose when it's done it's done no going back!
Problem with my job is I can't wear a hat! However I think I will just let the natural hair grow immediately after to try and cover and if it doesn't look good I may just take the chance and shave it all over before the 6 month mark!

Wow mate. That last picture is where I want my hair to be at after I get my HT done.

Looks like I'll be going to Cosmedica next month thanks to people like yourself and others on this forum who have done the same. Just finalising dates at the moment.

What was your regime mate ? You mentioned that you used American Crew shampoo, Biotin Pills, Monoxidil, Scalp Tonic etc. But what days and how often did you take/use this stuff ?

Thanks in advance.

Jonny.

Ps. How is your Crown looking at the moment ? I recall you had that touched up too.

Looks great papuzon! Fantastic result! Honestly dying to see what mine will turn out like. Started shedding a bit which worries me slightly (coming up to the 3 week point) but hopefully all will be good.

Hey Luke! Isn't all the transplanted hair meant to shed before it regrows?

Yeah it's supposed to shed after 4 or so weeks but I've started shedding a little bit earlier. But it's all good :) I've read up plenty on it and it's normal to start shedding hair this early on!
