My (fifth) procedure with Dr. Andrade Madrid - 1.376 grafts FUE + Beard

Hello everyone,
As a continuation of my previous thread Chronological summary of my ht's I will update my case with my fifth and last procedure carried on last 07 of September 2016.

The goal was to improve the already punished frontal area and to cover the scar once for all. The panorama to achieve that wasn't very favorable with fibrosis in the recipient area and an almost exhausted donor area, so we agreed in to use beard as an additional source of supply.

I was a little bit worried of to use more FUE from scalp donor but the doctor told me that actually was not that bad and still capable to afford some more extractions without being noticed, so I trusted him and I'm glad I did. The job done seems very refined to me, the doctor was very delicate all the time, it's him only the one who works on the head of the patient, while the assistants are helping him with everything else, so I felt very comfortable all the time, now I have to wait for few months before too see the result but for the moment I'm very happy with how things goes.

The procedure was performed in one day and this was the breakdown of the grafts:
  • 1 hair: 264[/*]
  • 2 hairs: 708[/*]
  • 3 hairs: 59[/*]
  • Beard: 345[/*]
  • Total: 1.376 [/*]

And here you can see the photos of the procedure.

Your donor looks in pretty good shape considering the amount of transplants you`ve had. How many grafts have you had in total?

Hello guys, thank you for the comments.

Regarding the donor yes, it looks better than what I expected, it seems to me that the micropigmentation that I had in 2013 it has something to do with that, but in terms of donor supply the doctor said that it was not that bad, so I feel very fortunate for this, specially having in mind the amount of procedures.

The total number of grafts it can be something around 6.000-7.000 grafts...

Thanks.

Hello everybody,

Well, 4 months have passed already and everything looks like is going well, I'm feeling small hairs that prick as they come out through the scalp so I guess that everything is progressing normally.

I do not use to comb my hair backwards but I have made an exception this time trying to show better the situation. The truth is that to comb the hair this way there is still needed more density but in normal conditions nobody guessed or noticed that I had/have alopecia so I cannot complain.

In the meantime the progression continues.

This is the appearance yesterday 03 of January.

Well time flies and 11 months have passed already since I had my fifth and last procedure with Dr Andrade, today close to the final result, the truth is that I can only thank the doctor for the good work done and the delicacy and empathy with which he works, putting himself in my place and in what it supposes all this for the patient.

The result of this procedure has put the icing on the cake for a long process that started very bad and thanks God have had a happy ending, again many thanks to the doctor and his team and in general with luck to all with your projects in life whatever they are, my case shows that in this life everything is possible.

Taking advantage of the heat I went to buzzed mode, remembering the look that I had 20 years ago before I had any procedure, and honestly I'm thrilled
