Hi all,
I ve followed many of the reputable hair loss forums for the last 13 years and found them very informative and useful. I ve decided to share my experience to try to help others as I know first hand how difficult losing hair can be.
After years of research, I had a FUE procedure with Dr Bisanga/BHR almost 1 month ago and have included some pictures of the first few weeks progress below for ref. I chose to go with Dr Bisanga because of his reputation and consistent results. Naturally, I m hoping for a good result too. A bit about me:
Background:
· 40 years old from London
· Been taking Minoxidil and Finasteride for 13 years
· Had previous FUE procedure 10 years ago (aged 30) to address receding hairline, results were average/OK but I was never completely satisfied
· Hair loss has stabilised over the last 10 years
Current goals:
· Add density to front which is relatively thin in comparison to my native hair and has required concealer/styling to look more natural over the last 10 years
· Add density to a small thinning area in the crown
My BHR experience:
The procedure itself was relatively pain free and done in 1 day - but it all requires a lot of personal planning and, at least for me, there was a lot of anxiety beforehand. I decided not to tell anyone about the procedure which presents quite a lot of challenges with work, family, friends etc. It s no walk in the park, and you have to be patient before you can fully get back to normal life afterwards. I ve had a really good experience with the BHR clinic so far no problems with the procedure and the after care and communication with Daniel (the clinic s consultant) has been great.
I m now almost 1 month post op and will be posting updates over the next few months so you can see my progress. Any questions, let me know, I ll be happy to answer wherever possible.
