Do you have pictures of the same angle as the first picture that shows the scar? can't see anything in the other 2 pics.

This has to be a good option for strip patients who want their hair very short like this.

Is performing the SMP into a healed strip scar anymore difficult than ordinary scalp skin?

@bullitnut: That's right. A lot of strip patients who decide to shave come to us to have their scars covered. Of course it is not possible for us to erase scars but we can try and camouflage them as much as possible. Results can be really satisfying.

Before treating a scar it is necessary to evaluate it since not all scars can be treated. That's why consultation is so important.

Agree Scars are more difficult because it is harder to predict exactly how the pigment will behave. Thick scars behave differently from fine scars. You need to be careful and the first pass is almost a test pass

Thank you Milena/Dr Shapiro;) What happens if a patient doesn't have a flat scar? is there anything you recommend to help flatten the scar and is anything needed to prepare the scar before SMP like regular Moisturizer for example?

Dear Bullitnut,
There are different methods it is possible to use in order to flatten a scar, from lasers to acids. But I always suggest you ask a dermatologist or a surgeon since they have the necessary competence to deal with these issues.
