Hey everyone!

I've had permanent SMP at HIS Hair in Manchester with Danny on Thurs 20 March and Thurs 27 March 2014. Both sessions lasted 2-3 hours and went great, Danny is a top bloke.

He used shade 32 on the scar and 30 in the crown for session one. And 30 for both in session two.

I'm going to wait a while to see how this turns out before deciding if/when I go for a third session.

Before.

The result from the 2 SMP sessions is looking really good but I'm glad you are taking the wait and see approach for the 3rd session. Better to be safe than sorry.

What was the pain factor like and do you think you might end up going all over the scalp with this one day?.

Thanks for the comments.

badger,

The pain isn't too bad but differs depending on which part of your scalp is being done. I made a comment about it tickling when he started but wish I never said it when he was doing above my ears. I think he broke me in gently. hehe

As for getting it done all over my scalp I don't think I need it. My hair can look thin when very short but this is what it looks like grown out a bit.

Sorry El nino , i hadn't seen your pictures previously. Your hair looks great, do you plan on wearing it shorter at the back and sides now you have the pigmentation.

No worries badger I thought you hadn't seen my previous threads.
The scar was the priority for me but I decided to do the crown as well. And yes I'm planning on being able to go shorter at the back and sides after the SMP.

Looks really good that dude, did they blend around the scar as well as just doing the scar itself?

Thanks bn, yeah Danny blended around the scar. I know it's hard to see in the pics cos of the redness and swelling. I will be updating when I get my haircut, just waiting for it to grow a bit on top as I don't fancy another skin head all over.

When it grows a bit on top dude and your happy to take more piccies would it be possible to take a picture of the scar from a little further back please.....something along the lines of the first before picture. Sorry to be a royal pain in the arse i just think this is a great outcome and would like to see it from a different angle to compare it with the before pic if possible dude.

They look to have done a very good job on your scarring, has it faded at all yet.

Update 15 days after 2nd session.

Just took these pics after my haircut. The scar is looking much better but I think it'll need another session, I don't think too many people get away with just two sessions in the scar. They can really suck up the ink.

The SMP in my crown does a good job of adding density and looks great but my crappy camera doesn't do it justice. Looks much better in person.

I still think it looks very good as it is, was it expensive.

Thanks pal, the cost is £500 a session.

With regards to the fading it looks best when it is first done after the redness and swelling has gone down. The dots are darker and have more of a 3D effect.

They have now scabbed off and healed and are not as visible.

But you can't go too dark to start with on scars because you could end up with a black line.

I will wait for another six weeks to see if any more fading occurs and then go for a third session and probably go a bit darker in the scar, if Danny agrees.
