Scalp Pigmentation to add density

This client had the density added very lightly to keep it natural, the biggest risk when doing these treatments is doing to much and make the area look "dirty" rather then "hairy", this is one aspect where a good practitioner has to set the boundaries and make sure he stops the treatment once he believes the best result has been achieved, doing more after that will only affect the result in a negative way.

That's how SMP should be used, not to make people look like they have a giant condom on their scalp.

This looks very good!

Thank you for that Fred, especially the giant condom part, I will use that in the future when describing how MSP should not look ;)

I think is a brilliant result, the balance in contrast has give this guy an overall better and denser look.

Very nice result.
SMP to densify is quite tricky. Some guys just have too much hair, some have to little.

Yeah I really like this too...is there a risk it can damage native hair or transplanted hair during the procedure?......and if it's not a ht what would happen with further progression of baldness?

It doesn't damage the native hair as its to superficial to do any harm, if anything it will have a short term stimulation effect in a similar way a derma roller will, but in general I would say that you see no difference on the native hair.
We only do these on either women with thinning that is very unlikely to be spread over a large area, men with hair transplant or little or non family history of complete balding or stabilised hair loss to prevent problems with further balding. This is why its trickier to evaluate and consult those who have long hair, we turn away allot of clients who understand the complication this could possibly have if they are early stage balding and not doing anything to stop the loss with a strong family MPB.
Long hair Scalp Pigmentation has to be approached extra carefully to get a good short and long term result.

Thank you for explaining things;)
One last question, what would this look like if he shaved down now? and vica versa would a shaved down result performed whilst shaven look this good if he had enough native hair and then grew it out later?

This depends on the case, in this case showed here it would look natural as the colour is very light and the density is low. The biggest challenge is when someone wants to keep his hair longer and make it very dark and dense as these cases dont look good shaved, if they request that from us we explain that they cant keep the hair shaved, they have to decide to go for amore moderate look like above (what we prefer and recommend) as if they go for a very dark dense look with longer hair it want look good when shaved.

Hi Savlar

That looks very very good... The result is very effective...

Would you be able to give a rough idea of cost...

Tim

I'm sorry but I have to say that looks photoshopped to me. Not a single hair out of place between the 1st and 2nd pic. It is styled EXACTLY the same. The fact he's wearing the same shirt and tie (the tie still sitting squint to the left in the same way) is also a giveaway. The addition of the jacket looks like it's been done on purpose to throw us off the scent.

Not saying you guys don't produce good work but this looks dodgy to me

Hi Tim
Rough quote would be from 2K, possibly up to 2.5 max in the UK but depends on the degree of balding, feel free to contact our clinic directly with photos for a accurate cost, long hair SMP is quite tricky and we find that only a small percentage of those who want it are good candidates due to hair colour, possible future hair loss and etc so let us evaluate it well first.
