SMPclinics Joe Tillman Interviews Kenny and Prohairclinic SMP Expert Ilse

Prohairclinic FUE and SMP
Joe Tillman Visited Prohairclinic's Scalp Micro hair Pigmentation Division earlier this year. All our staff have been trained by Milena Lardi (Beautymedical) in 2012, using non permanent Scalp Micro Pigmentation. We use 100% Beautymedical procedures, pigments, needles ...

Prohairclinic is one of the first hair restoration clinics in Europe that has incorporated hair restoration along with micro hair pigmentation. Both can complement each other and often combined produce superior results then any procedure on itself.

Ilse and Sabine have been working at Prohairclinic for over 10 years now and have the skin knowlegde that surpases any non medical beauty institutes offering SMP. Furthermore we also have over 10 years of hair line design experience, a must for getting that patient perfect hair line again and again.

Here is the first of a series of 3 video's
Joe Talks to Bart about SMP

This is a good point and an important one imo, clinics who are offering just SMP may be able to do a great job yes, but surely its an advantage to use a clinic who has experience with producing and designing hairline for years.

There are some crazy hairline designs out there, especially those denser SMP at the front giving the helmet look effect.

Quite why some SMP tattooists cater for such unnatural NW1 hairlines i find very unethical. It may be what the Client wants, but it doesnt mean you give them what they want.

I am not grinding an axe, as it would appear that the SMP Clinics here produce the appearance of a natural hairline, others do not.

As Bullitnut suggested i agree it is a distinct advantage to use a Clinic where they have the experience of producing and designing hairlines for years.

It seems any regular tattooist after a few days training has a license these days to tattoo dots on someones head. God help those that dont do their research, there are more and more scary stories coming to light of exceptionally very poor work. Its not just the Phuket SMP Clinic these days, Scalp Aesthetics are producing some very poor work as is evident on different forums but from their Marketing you would think they were the top dogs.

Hi Coopman,
I agree with Bart's point and your view on this matter. That is why I generally don't work with tricopigmentation clinics that are not already hair transplant clinics. It is difficult for them to agree to the silly helmet head hairlines that you mentioned. I do have exceptions however like with regards to Ahead Ink, formerly known as SMPLooks. Erik, the owner, has a good hairline sense and an overall ethic that I agree with but in general I'm in line with Bart's points about HT clinics that use trico having the proper experience to know what looks natural.
On a side note, I had fun shooting these videos (but they were a pain to edit) and they allowed me to visit Prohair Clinic to see their trico operation first hand. They're good people and while I wasn't there for their FUE work, I was impressed regardless.

The vast majority is Norwood 6 and 7. As you know most of these guys have no option due to poor donor supply.
These sessions are very emotional since many of them just assumed that they would have to be 'bald' for the rest of their lives. Tears are shed quite often as one can see the virtually instant life changing result.
Micro hair pigmentation is still very unknown out there.
