Hi, im currently reaching month 7 and im really concerned about density and small patches with no hair as yet. I havent seen any growth from last month which makes me worried all grafts are in. Any thoughts or opinions is appreciated, thank you.

The growth looks ok for 7 months. Sometimes you’ll notice more growth one month from another. You’re just over the halfway point so try not to worry right now.

Which clinic did you go to pal? Are you on any meds?

'Sule hair' in turkey. Yeah, coming up to a year now on finasteride and biotin. The hairline and pretty much the front just seems to have no density with little hair. Do you feel thats what i should be expecting going from the post op pictures?

thank you for the reassurance. Its just hard when you see majority of people at 6 months with all the hair grown in. Im just doubting the number and placement of grafts

I see what you mean. The new hairs don’t look as thick as your original hair. But you’ve kept the hair very short. Perhaps you should try growing it longer to have a proper look.

Don't seem to be that bad at this stage...and you are keeping short hair so its looking more sparse i think ..actually its hard to match density of your native hairs so when you keep too short it will ofcourse look bit sparse than the native hairs ...hair transplant provides illusion of density my friend ...there are very few people who are lucky to have all the favourable factors to achieve such a high density...
And still its just 7 months...from my experience the biggest difference will be seen at 9 months...and there are some slow growers as well which may take some more time than usual ...so hang in there and don't loose hope...and i wish you are on medication ..

I agree completely with this analysis. Wearing a tad longer hair can make a big difference, experienced it myself.

How short do you think that you can go before the difference in density between native and transplanted hairs becomes apparent? Thanks.

I don’t think this looks that bad. It should improve further and you could also get away with a few fibres and it look thick

How many grafts were used?

I appreciate this reply, thank you. Been just looking at the hair more often recently which probably has me over thinking the small details

Could anyone offer some advise?

Its now been over 14 months. Im hoping to have a 2nd procedure for density as the hairline and temple areas still look and feel thin and transparent in my eyes. My only concern is that the clinic (same as the first one) has said it will be 3000-3500 grafts. That is literally more than the first procedure (2800) with less areas to cover this time around. How many grafts would you expect for this? As i feel 3000 more grafts is over kill for my donor area.

Your photos are not good so it's really hard to judge the final result and you haven't really shown the pre-op situation. Wet hair pictures are not really helpful either, since everyone's hair looks sparse and thin when wet. Second surgeries for density are a normal occurrence, but in your case 3000 sounds ludicrous. More like a densifying job of half that amount. You should look for Loui's case by dr. Michalis in Cyprus.

I had a second surgery with the same surgeon as Loui and it's made a big difference. I think my hairline figure was around 700 grafts. I doubt yours would be more than 1500.

I will thank you for that.

Sorry, hopefully these pictures are better. This is the hair dry without any product. It honestly depresses me so much looking at the hair when i dont spend time styling and putting product into it. Everything just seems wrong with it.

I personally think it is ok. HTs are never going to match original density. The most generally is up to 50 graft/cm2 compared to original density of 80+. Its is to create an illusion of density, not replace it. Could a top tier surgeon have done a better job? possibly

Do not make the same mistake twice and search a better doctor this time. All the best.

Thanks. I know. Its making me feel very stupid about myself. Went based on friends results who have great hair. So far ive tried contacting a few doctors such as dr. Keser who has turned me down. This just makes me more worried about how damaged my hair truely is.
