Dr. John Satino in Clearwater, Florida is offering a stem cell hair restoration procedure. It's not the holy grail or anything full proof, I'm told results vary from patient to patient depending on the amount of living hair cells in the patient's scalp. These are analogous stem cells, not embryonic, which means that they come from the patient.

Dr. Satino was featured in a local news story, which I will link here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO6jgkW9c8E

But I have worked in journalism so I know the industry, the fact that he's been covered by the news isn't necessarily a measure of credibility.

Basically, I want to know, does anyone have any experience with Dr. Satino and his stem cell procedure? It is a relatively low price, $1,200, so I think it's worth to try out. But only if it's legitimate of course.

Regards,

- a guy from DC
