When I used it I purchased it from Holland and Barratt as they usually had deals on.

I get all my vitamins from Holland and Barratt too, they are a big chain and have a store in every UK high street. Personally I would not buy vitamins online when you can just nip to town and purchase them.

We do have them for sale in our London hair clinic, a very strong formula containing 2500 Mg pure Saw Palmetto, you can look at Vinci Hair Clinic London

It works the same way as Finasteride\Propecia but is completely natural, its a herb extract, we have allot of people that dont feel comfortable taking medication and prefer the herbal alternative and are very happy with the results from Saw Palmetto.

does it really work? what about hair shampoos that claim to regrow hair? I dont want to go on hair transplant route. I take it as the last choice.

First, there is no hair loss shampoo that will recover your hair or stop hair loss, you have Rogaine (Minoxidil) and Propecia (Finnasteride) that are the only FDA approved, tried and tested medication that help most hair loss sufferers. Saw Plametto discussed in this thread is a herbal alternative to Finasteride and is intended to work in a similar way, laser therapy and PRP might also be considered as medical treatments.
Secondly, you shouldnt confuse hair transplants with medication, they are not different routes but easier to think if them as leading to different destination, medication is only the route to maintaining your hair for most hair loss patients, some people with thinning hair but not bald areas can see good improvement but those with bald areas want see hair grow back (or at least extremely rarely). Hair Transplants are the route to restoring hair where its gone, its to put hair into balding areas rather then thinning areas even though depending on cases this can be achieved as well but predominantly HT are for bald areas.
You should consider real medical treatment to stop your hair loss first and then move on to hair transplants, dont loose time and money on expensive shampoos and treatments, learn from the experience that is already there and go straight to see a professional for evaluation, in most cases you will start with the medication and depending on degree of hair loss move on to HT.

Most people dont experience any side effects with the approved medication (Finasteride and Minoxidil), I wouldn't believe all these horror stories about side effects, yes they might be a chance but I have personally taken both for over a decade and never experienced andy, millions of people around the world have the same experience,
PRP and Laser do not have any possible side effects so they might be your safest bet but of course you dont have as much evidence of how effective they are, I certainly believe both help but in my experience nothing beats Finasteride and Minoxidil, those who are absolutelymad about hair (people like me) use the medication plus PRP and Laser :)

webmd indicates that there is insufficient evidence about saw palmetto to prevent hair loss.

I tried saw palmetto and it gave me more sides than propecia, just because some thing is natural doesn't mean it won't give you sides.
Just my take on things.

What sides did you experience from Saw Palmetto.

The sides I experienced from saw palmetto were the same as I got from propecia breast tenderness and swelling.
