This patient is on Propecia. He started at the beginning of this year before his fue surgery.

I believe he is an early grower. I think he has seen majority of growth. He is fine with the results that he has now so if he doesn't see any improvement, he is still happy. He should be receiving more thickening up in the next 6 months - perhaps 30 percent more? It's difficult to say but it seems logical that there wouldn't be too much more growth. His results at this point looks a lot like someone at 9 months, imo. He is one lucky guy.

Excellent so far. He is definitely coming along well. I believe however that he is ahead of schedule partly because the work is so refined. The body is able to start healing at a quicker pace. Great stuff.

I stumbled across this thread looking at the Shapiro Medical Group website.

I was wondering if the patient experienced immediate growth without shed because of the length of the hairs in the 5 day post op pictures. The hairs seem to have grown immediately after being transplanted. He's also at or close to full results after only 6 months.

Most everything I've read online is that the hairs don't grow immediately following a transplant.

Hi Heardme,
In regards to this patient at 5 days post op - transplanted hairs tend to start shedding at 10 days post op and continue to shed 1 1/2 to 2 months after surgery. The shedding is somewhat gradual and hairs don't fall out all at once. During the shed phase, the transplanted hairs can grow for awhile but eventually you want the transplanted hairs to fall out so that the new hairs can take its place. This patient did shed his transplanted hairs like every other patient but then experienced early growth of approx 60-70% by 6 months post op. ;)
