Hi Guys,

Longtime lurker and finally took the plunge last week on a large FUE procedure with Dr Bisanga over 2 days.

Firstly ill say anyone considering BHR to not hesitate.  The whole experience was really a breeze and i should have just done it sooner.   The team Steve , Phil and DR Bisanga himself are all top guys and i could not have asked for better care on the day and after care also.

The techs working there are all great too. All lovely girls and fairly cute too with nice french accents. ;-).

Post Op Steve has been great replying to each email within minutes and there have been a few.!

I wont bore everyone with the details but i share empathy with most people on here. Im 35 been losing my barnet since 20 and my hairloss battle has definitly been one of the best toughest things ive had to deal with.   Im delighted to now been taking proper steps to combat it.

I plan on updating each month to document my progress .  Anyone any questions feel free to hit me up and ill try and help if i can. ! Particulary any guys contemplating get a HT done.  Good to give back to the HT community as ive learned a lot online.

Ive always had a high hairline and widows peak hairline with a kink.  But i  then had pretty extensive loss in the frontal third so my whole front third has been reconstructed.  So we agreed a conservative hairline which puts me back where i was over 10 years ago really.

If this is a success i reckon i will look at closing the temple angles in procedure 2.  In this procedure though it was all about rebuilding a hairline and reinforcing behind as the whole frontal zone was gone or going.

The Doc said i did not have much miniturisation elsewhere and my donor was pretty decent.   My hair count hit a lot of 3 and 4's and a 5 i think so hope that stands in the final result.

Ps Dont have to hand but i'll sort some pre op pics up.

Heres a couple now taking exactly a week post op.

Cheers

Pic of the back/Donor area.  No evidence of surgery 7 days post Op to the untrained eye.  Amazing really for the amount of grafts taken.

Im out in public the last couple of days without a hat as the few scabs on top are not really noticeable as im over 6 Foot and you cant see them unless you really look up close.

Thanks All for the comments.  Ive attached a pre op pic taken at BHR.

Im really pleased with the healing process so far.  Ive had Zero redness anywhere which has surprised me.   All scabs were gone before 14 days.

The grafts are still in place but expecting them to start shedding soon as i approach 3 weeks post Op this week.

I think ill keep down my hair buzzed down short for the next few months as things grow in.  Am quite enjoying the no Maintenance and the reduced getting ready time post showering.

Thanks chaps. The shedding has not really started yet as far as i can tell. Im 3 weeks post op now.

Im prepared for it to start soon tho. I dont think ive seen a case online where the grafts have grown straight away despite what they say about a small percentage doing that.!

I think i will buzz all over tight when the shedding happens for the next couple of months.

This will hopefully disguise thinning etc while i wait for the growth.

Cheers
Bob

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the comments so far.  Im just about a month out now.

Heres my latest pics.  As you can see there is a lot of the implanted hair still in place i think.  They seem to be growing although i am still expecting them to shed.

Im just happy they have stuck around this long to be honest as its enabled me to go back to work with a hairline of some sort.  No one suspected a thing.  I had Zero redness also post op which i was very pleased about.

When it does shed i will shave down to grade 1 until the growth comes in.

Cheers
bob

Hi Dazzster, thanks Your story is an inspiration to us all mate. Hope you are enjoying your new hair.

Im over 5 weeks in now and the shedding kicked off in earnest altho i reckon i have maybe 50% still in place so hopefully they hang on as they do make a difference even when my hair is buzzed short !

Anyway hopefully the next few months will bring
some good growth for us all.

Cheers
Bob
