How many grafts were transplanted on this patient ?

There will be a prize for the nearest guess.

None. The gentleman has grown his hair longer and has had a photo taken in a darker light with no flash to make it look denser.

I disagree, I think there is a significant difference.

I would guess that there were 3450 grafts planted - what's the prize?

898 grafts.

I hope you are going to be shipping that prize ;)

No grafts, the hair in the crown and at the front is still maturing and doesn't look like transplanted in terms of quality, lustre and darkness so I'd say no surgery and this was meds or some other treatment. I will send you my address for the prize to share with those who said none! Lol

3250 grafts. Although it would be amazing to find out that this was all from medications. It would be a great before and after photo set to present to patients to encourage them to start something.

I would say around 800 grafts plus minoxidil? The only thing which makes me think twice is that the frontal hairs looks like immature to my eyes and thus it could be no op at all. Just therapy. I would stick to my first option though (800 grafts).

Excuse me if I €™m being stupid and ignorant, and I know I €™m putting the reputation of The Glasgow Clinic on the line here, but in my opinion it doesn €™t look like the result of a hair transplant.

Could be using medication or some good fibres ?

This is a tough one. On one hand it could be the result from meds only ~ it could also be from grafts placed. If it's from grafts then I presume we are looking at a 12 month result.
If the result is from grafts I'd estimate 3000.
Can we have a little more clarification Mick ?

Ok time to come clean,This patient came to us about 10 months ago.Revved up and wanting to get in the chair at the earliest opportunity. We agreed that surgery was an option but Dr Farjo felt that meds were a viable consideration due to his age, degree of loss and family history. The plan was to evaluate and move forward from there.Regaine foam and Finasteride were the choice.
We'll done to the eagle eyed stars on here but there were a few close calls.
Boberto very inciteful a great call.Si I would not expect anything less true talent.Fraser Your reputation is in tact hold your head with prize sorry pride. Joking aside this was a good exercise because of the huge benefits that were achieved and to me re emphasised that we should not be so eager to get patients in to the chair. The prize well Boberto,Si and Fraser I have just made a donation to Douglas McMIllan on your behalf.Well done to all of you and thank you.
