Hello forum friends
Wanted to share with you a quick photo that a former client of mine, James sent me yesterday. He is an actor and model, and did a post-wedding shoot with his wife. Good looking people as you see, but check out the natural SMP...he looks great.

Hey Matt that's a great photo.

It would really be nice to see the tattoo places invest in a HD camera, some studio lighting and a backdrop. Most on the forums I'm sure would like to see some large, close up, HD photos. It would help you and the customer at the same time.

i agree. at my place we have a middle of the line canon...which does a good job, but a lot of the forums only allow for a certain size photo, so that takes away some of the larger HD.

I plan to do a full professional photo shoot with 3-4 of my clients in a couple months. ill be sure to share.

Just looking at the photo, have to admit I was more interested in the lady behind your client.

But joking aside. In reference to your Clients hairline. I note that in some SMP patients they have a denser hairline inked onto their heads. Obviously in this instance your client James does not.

Im not a fan of these denser hairlines as in some SMP patients it does look quite unnatural. But out of curiousity in your estimation how many people come to see you for a consultation requesting a denser hairline?

Also you touched upon in a different thread about the FUE/SMP combo. Have you seen any patients whom have had this undertaken yet?

Hi coopman

sorry for delay.

Re dense hairlines: Most clients that have done their proper research and understand the depths of SMP realize that its best to always choose a natural, medium to soft hairline. With that said, there are still many clients that prefer a more aggressive/stronger hairline; especially true in the multi-cultural environment of NYC. My job is consider what the clients objective is, but always recommend based on head shape, age, skin tone, etc. Even aggressive hairlines can still be done naturally, without looking razor sharp.

Re FUE/SMP: To this date i have treated 100s of clients who have had prior FUE work and are using SMP to 1. cover the minimal scarring 2. add density and create a more even scalp appearance.

At this time i have begun coordinating with respected HT surgeons in the ny area (and even overseas) to create a program where the right candidate can choose to undergo an SMP/FUE type package. Through this type of partnership both therapies can be used on a candidate that perhaps doesnt have sufficient donor hair for a FUE alone, but alongside SMP can create a full cropped hair look.
