Pics #3 & #4 are hard to tell where the pic are taken on your head.  Is it correct that you have the one very wide donor scar instead of two?

I believe you will need a session dedicated to simply removal of your scar and another (possibly two) session to remove the biggest grafts at the hairline and fill in with fine hairs to help mask the old work.  There is hope to having your hair look more natural.  Can you do another favor?  Can you take another pic of your head from the front where you block out your eyes or face?  I'd like to see just how large the grafts are at the hairline without them being enlarged.  Thanks.

Good day to all u of yes i have been very stupid little did i know that a Dr could to this to u.  I have been to Dr santo 2 twice 1st ht in  nov 06 1700 grafts was ok no pain no problems.

07 I noticed i had lost more hair so went back 2nd ht big problem this time .  The Dr Made a diffrent strip scar from the original went home and my head was sweating all the time.  I was in alot of pain i thought i had lost my mind.  Alot of the graft's just fell out I spent almost ayear in my room iwas suffering from panic attacks.  My head has never felt the same i came to OZ 7month's ago because i know longer wanted my father watch me suffer.

Since being here i have had cortisone injection's in scars it has worked.  Dr a has cut to deep causing nerve damage when i contacted there sales team they said to me we have never met a patient like me. This was from Andy Hunt and Clive Dean what nice people they are just pushing for there slice of cake.   Maybe if these people knew how mauch pain i was in they would understand.  It's not about the money it's about having duty of care doing what's best for the patient being ethical.

How do u repair this mess god know's where i start.  I spend all day worrying and sufferring what a waist  am just being honest i don't want anybody else to go through this.  I need to repair this mess but the worst thing about this i am also scared about what lies ahead.  Would appreciate any advice from this forum how to repair this MESS.

Hi Bad Luck.

The work looks very poor that you have received from this clinic.

Have they returned any of your emails to them.

I agree with Janna that a few more pictures are needed showing your full head so we can see the full extent of your situation.

I`m pretty sure you will be able have some repair work to rectify your situation.

Take care bm.

hey dude i really feel for you i know the pain your going through as we have been emailing each other for a few months, the good news is though you have made the first big step to recovery by joining a good forum where you can research quality doctors/clinics in order to hopefully get a normal look again

i agree with janna and bigmac though with the pictures they look too close to see whats going on my friend so please post some more a little further away buddy so we can see the extent of the damage

dont give up hope my friend try to stay positive

as ever best wishes bullit:)

Hey bud,

Sorry to hear about your situation.  Hopefully you'll be able to correct your situation.  Keep in mind that there are a handful of world class physicians that are fully capable of providing great, natural work with superior post HT followup.  Make sure that you do a lot of research and send your pics to some of the best clinics listed on this site and see what they think of your situation.  Good luck.  Keep us in the loop.

Hi Bad luck

Has the clinic offered to help you in any way after you contacted them.

Have you sent them your pictures to see what they have to say about the result.

bm.

Hi Bad Luck

In picture 4 and 5 your donor appears to be quite thin. The wide scar does not help either.

If i were you i would send all these picture to the clinic and ask what they think of your result.

I`d be very interested in hearing their opinion.

bm.

Badluck,

I replied to your email but the email  bounced back. Looking at the pics your scar appears to be in an "ok" position. wide yes, but potentially it can be made smaller - You could possibly have the scar revised and also harvest some valuable donor hair in order to be distributed within the hairline zone to help camoflauge and refine the front which appears in need of help. It would only be possible for a doc to truly give you an accurate opinion on how many grafts could be harvest and how many would be required to help refine the front appropriately but in the right hands i feel your situ could be made a great deal better. There are some good repair clinics out there and a number of results by these clinics to show you want potentially can be achieved.
Hope this helps
Regards
Spex

No, they dont care what thier members do it seems. What I mean is, that you should take legal action, I would of taken legal action against Dr Greaves, but I didnt want my parents or anyone to find out about me having an HT so I didnt do anything.

I'll just kick him in the balls if I ever see him, unfortunatly I'm told he left the country to escape just that happening from other unhappy patients.

Hi Bad Luck

Sorry to hear about your experience. I've had a similar experience, at possibly the same clinic. I've posted my journey here

http://www.hairlossexperiences.com/view_topic.php?id=772&forum_id=3

Hope you get something sorted for your HT as it sounds like you had a much harder time of it than I did.

John

if you class getting kicked in the balls a good result, then this is a good result, my surgery from 2002 with the infamous Dr Greaves is better than this, and he had to leave the country because of his butcherings.

That is poor work.
Hopefully you have enough good donor left to have a decent repair with another doctor.

What kind of instrumentations are they using?  The surface of your scalp looks very bumpy.

I am sorry to say that Dr. Santos is drunk if he thinks this is a good job.  I am very sorry to see this has happened to you. The work clearly is not that good unfortunately but at the same time it appears like it is not disfiguring and he did not go too low that you could easily have it repaired.

Dear Janna it's called the choi implanter after the 2nd surgery my head kept sweating and the grafts just fell out.  Maybe this was due to nerve damage from the strip.  Please could u ask SMG to have a look at my situation am scared and rock bottom.

I've seen other bad results when choi implanters are not utilized so I don't think it's the implanter itself.

Perhaps someone near you can start the repair process as I would think you will need multiple sessions to remove big grafts to smooth out some of the pitting and the unnatural looking grafts in the front.

Hi Bad Luck, I can relate to your situation I also have painful scarring, have to place my head carefully on my pillow when sleeping, sometimes waking with headache from pressure on the painful spots.:'#G::

I have also been living under a hat for the last 18 odd years, only been able to work part time in jobs where I can wear a hat, It’s terrible when you sit down to lunch with the boys and you cant take of your hat and just relax. At this time however, for a few months I have full time work and I’m trying to save as much as I can for my repair.

I haven’t been to a hairdresser since my first transplant…my mother has become pretty handy with the scissors.;)

I am also in Australia and was wondering which Dr you have been in discussion with? I have been looking for a solution for years and apart from Dr Woods I haven’t found a Dr in Australia showing any decent results, some I have seen are still living in the dark ages when it comes to current techniques. So be careful.

Mr Jawaid

Before you came to my medical centre you had been doing for two years a
research in hair transplantation , and also
the representetive in U.K.and me gave you  ALL the information you needed
about strip procedure choi methode.
(each of those salesmen had made with me at least 3 hair procedures)
So you decided after these informations and consultations that am the best
as a doctor so you chose my medical centre.
You got all the pre-operation instructions and information about strip choi
methode and you have signed them.
In your confidential file with your sign in the paper of health questionaire
you wrote that you have psoriasis and also
scars from an accident in the army.
I have given  you all the operation instructions that you should follow very
strictly, cause your job is very dangerous
(tree surgeon) and as you mensioned you have always a helmet for protection.
In my book of impresions of the ASANTO you wrote very possite words like
that we are ''first class'' and you thanked
us for everything that we offered you in the best way.
When we gave you post operation instructions we informed you for that if you
will have any question you could write
us en email.
But you did not do that.!!!I informed with letters all my patients in
U.K.that i have stopped colaboration - contact
with the salesmen in U.K. sinse the end of 2007.
YOU HAVE NOT ANY WRIGHT to send me this INSULTING and RUDE email.
You have not any wright to accuse my job with lies, the job that i do
everytime and give the best results and honest
informations.
All my patients thank me and always give me recomendations , for their good
results.
This is the first time that i got a so RUDE email.
Thank you VERY MUCH FOR YOUR PHOTOS. These photos aproove my good job which
represend ''before-after''.
Your photos are my best witness for the greatest results that you have from
me and my staff.
Your scar's size is totaly normal and i had explained you that every patient
has different elasticity at his/her head.
So the reactions are different from person to person. In one of your last
photo the ant you make it elefant...you focus on it.
This is not fair.
Mr Jawaid i could understand if before two years you would have send me an
email with your questions with logical based.
Nobody after a hair transplantation have pain for many years. NOBODY.
Never i have found  in my carear a patient with chronic pain after a hair
procedure.
I would understand your pain came from you army accident or from your
psoriasis of from other reasons.
Your UNSULTING email doesn t prove or establish anything. It just proves for
one more time my
good results(before and after photos)
If you want anything from me write me a civil email without lies and saw me
that you respect first of all yourself
as an honest man.
Then be sure that i will reply to you and i ll do for you my best as always
i do for all my patients.
This is the reason why all of them are grateful to me. Plz when you will
write your next email donnot forget to write
your name in the end of your email.

Dr. Alex Santo MD
member of ISHRS
plastic surgeon

Its very clear from these pictures that Dr Santos is one of the worst in the whole world. I dont understand how a doctor in this day and age could produce such bad results, I seriously think I could do better myself without any training. (no joke)

Lena,i`ve deleted the duplicate posts you made.

I take it from your post that you work for Dr Santos. If so can you disclose that in your signature.

I`ve spoken to this patient for some time now and imo the work carried out on him looks very poor. If you could post all his before and after pictures with his face blacked out.I will collate all his pictures together then in one post so we can see what has or has not been achieved for this patient.

Thanks bm.

Hi Lena.

I`ve sent a private message to Bad Luck alerting him to your posts and i`ve asked him to respond to you.

As for judging said doctor,we can only go by what is posted by patients and give our opinions. Hopefully Bad Luck will contact you and give you permission to post all his surgery details. Then we can hear both points of view from the patient and the doctor.

I`m also very interested to hear the opinion of Dr Ed Epstien president of ISHRS.ORG and if he thinks this is satisfactory work.

Thanks bm.

Dr Epstien will not think that this is good work, if he thought this was good work, it would totally mess up his credibility. Only a fool would return for another procedure, I wouldnt go to this clinic if they paid me.

Yes thank u for your concern i don't want A FREE HAIR TRANSPLANT FROM U.  Why don't open your eyes and look at the damage u have done.  Yes i am more than happy to attend the next ISHRS seminar and stand there with Dr Santo and show his pier's and member's  the standard's of this great work ?.

I would not go back to Dr Santos for a free procedure, is isnt capable of repairing this, it has to be repaired by a professional which of course he is not.

I would start legal proceedings on a no win no fee basis. You will win, the evidence is on your head.

To be honest i  have had info from a very ethical ht Dr that ISHRS don't really care what there member's do.  They pay there fee's and don't have to attend workshop's seminar's.  But the true member' s who top ht Drs do attend these meeting's and try to work on skill's.  I also have no idea how to start legal action against this great surgeon yet but will.  Or ISHRS will look at this complaint from the forum.  I have contacted them to post my pic's on this forum nothing more i can just now.

It would help to evaluate your result if you could get the clinic to forward you your pre and imm post op pictures to compare with the end result.

Looks like a clear case of trying to close the stable door After the horse has bolted.Only just picked up on this thread but saying that your strip scar is 'normal' is ludicrous, also very convenient that he has no ties with UK based salesman anymore...'salesman' sounds like canvassing to me and sends alarm bells ringing...in  fact talking of bells sounds very similar to John Bell and Croydens salesman tactics from the early 90's.
Shame that this man's ego is to big to see the real harm and pain his poor work has inflicted here, total denial and blame the very person who has dared to make a public complaint for the poor outcome.
Sue the dude and his clinic ask for a full refund and post your results all over every HL website out there dude.
IMHO work like this and attitudes like this should be outlawed and surgeons made to be responsible for there butchery.
Would you go for a free procedure if offered with this surgeon? indeed is he a surgeon at all in the sense that he may be qualified but does that make him qualified? I feel for you dude the best of the best post on here SMG..Feller...HDC...Wong and Ulma these are the people to consult and look at IMHO and I wish you all the very best in moving forward all is not lost dude, change your forum name to lucky..park the car and move on..there really is hope ahead ;)

Hi, I had Dr Santo do my first transplant in 2006. It went very well, I did have slight pitting but dn't notice it now.  I only thing is that I'm still numb on the side of my head. I'm really fining on top now and was thinking of returning to him! But after reading the comments on here I think I will look for someone else .
