Hey guys,
So! I'm happy to admit that since my last update, I've definitely seen some great progress! I just this week passed the 13 week mark and I'm already seeing a fair bit of growth so far. In comparison to a few weeks ago, I'm seeing so many new hairs popping up all over the place. Some very fine and others that are a little denser. I'm really happy with how everything is going so far. Im still on the hunt for some decent shampoo though as I've only got nizoral but I'd rather use something a bit more natural. So if anyone could recommend some, it'd be much appreciated! :) Another thing I should mention is that my recipient area is still very numb. I've had more feeling over time since the procedure but I'm not seeing it as much of an issue. But other than that, I'm really excited what the next few months will bring now. I'm sure it won't be long until I can finally stop wearing hats altogether and not worry about having to apply hair concealer ever again like I used too before my HT.And don't worry whatyawant! You'll be fine! Let us know how you got on when you're back.
Also, I've noticed my crown is thinning a little bit (this started around 12 months or so ago so it's not new to me) and it's fair to say that I'm pretty set on not hopefully having another HT. I still think it's at a point where its not too late to prevent more loss (and hopefully grow...)in that region again. I'd love some tips on how to combat this. Maybe get back on minoxidil and some type of other remedy? Any type of advice would be greatly appreciated!
If anyone's got any question, by all means fire away!
Cheers,
Luke

Hi Luke - Impressive photos, thanks for your update, looking very good! - Looks like you have kept it short?! I would use Alpercin shampoo - can be found at BOOTS:

http://www.pharmacyfix.co.uk/products/alpecin-caffeine-shampoo?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=4259486981&gclid=CMbJ8fm9_8oCFUgq0wod1UQCJw

Does your scalp still itch? - I see it's slightly pink like mine - this week will be my 12th week post surgery. The implanted zone on my frontal zone 1 (4,500 FUE hairs) still feel's a little numb - I can only just feel myself scratching and it was only just feel it when I comb that area or tug a hair. yet the back doesn't feel numb at all. Maybe I had more injections there but the crown doesn't feel numb at all.

Also how do you upload multiple photos when you send a message? I can only upload 6 to gallery and attach one photo per message? Anyone?

Hey guys,
So, last week I passed the greatly anticipated 4 month mark. And it's fair to say that I've seen some half decent signs of progress. I must admit I was expecting just a little bit more growth at this stage but I suppose once I've grown my hair, it will start to look a bit thicker. And as they say, it's still early days I suppose! I have actually decided to start growing it now as I feel it might start to look decent with longer hair. The redness has virtually disappeared now and I'm only feeling a little numbness here and there. I'm starting to worry about my crown though as I never got this fully addressed when I went for the HT. I'm hoping it won't look as bad with some decent length to my hair though.
Would it be worth starting up regaine once again? And if so, will my hair go through a shedding process (again)?I've read a few posts hear and there stating that wearing hats/head gear can have some effect on hair transplants? I'm only wandering as around 1 month after my HT, I started wearing hats again and I ride a scooter (which obviously requires me to wear a helmet) and I'm wandering whether this can have some effect?
Anyways, let me know what you guys think!
Cheers,
Luke

Thats great result at 4 month mark Luke! I'm happy for you! Must feel great! Some people don't have any results at 4 months.

Looks good to me Luke. How many hairs did you have implanted? - I am at 4 months this Friday and Saturday.

The fontal zone has grown back a little but can't see much growth in middle scalp and crown area yet. But front is more important still it's early days though.

Cheers lads!

Hey Supersmooth, I had 4,500 grafts implanted. To be fair, this was what I was quoted and what I was told before the procedure but I never found out about the end product. If you look at my post op pictures, most of the grafts where planted around the front and a few in the middle and towards the crown. I'm seeing great growth so far and it's nice to see progress. But again like everyone, I'm still nervous for what the next few months this bring! Hopefully much more growth! :)

Hey lukemac, looks like you are going to get a nice result. Donor area looks good too.

Are you from the UK? Can I ask what you did in terms of travel insurance?

Cheers.

Hey Luke just wondering did you shave without a guard? If so how often. My redness has gone down a good bit after one month. Not sure if was just time getting a tan or aspirin, either way also when did you start to see growth to let the lot grow

Hey whatyawant,
I didn't use a guard when shaving. I shaved the back and sides normal as I would when shaving my face but I go a Millimetre or so in height when doing the recipient area (still no guard, just shaving ever so carefully). I wouldn't shave the top just yet mate! I waited till at least 6-8weeks to shave mine fully. The back and sides are ok though! Just keep applying aloe Vera mana!
Hi LSK,
I am from the U.K but I didn't see any point in getting travel insurance because I was there for a matter of days and I never left the hotel. It's silly I know but I doubt most travel insurance companies won't cover for foreign surgery. I might be completely wrong, there could well be some that cover this type of thing. Depends what you're after. Maybe start a thread and see what other people did?

Hey guys, Apologies for the lack of updates. Been quite busy! But it's fair to say that Progress is looking very good so far! Since my last update, I've noticed quite a bit of growth since then. I've even been to the barbers to get my hair cut (First time in 7 months!). Extremely happy with how everything is turning out. Obviously my recipient area is still on the thin side but I do realise I've still got a few more months of growth to come :) My donor area isn't looking to bad. In hindsight, I still don't know why the clinic felt the need to over harts a small area. But with all things considered, I could count myself lucky. Either way, I'm excited to see what happens over the coming months!
Here are my '6 Month post-op pictures'. Let me know what you guys think!
Peace,
LM
