This patient is a Norwood 5 to 6 with diffuse thinning .With this post I want to emphasize in the fact that hair transplant is also about illusion of coverage .The way you comb your hairs ,artefacts you are using such as toppik,nanogen,etc... all can make your condition less noticeable. We recommended to treat the frontal zone and middle scalp and attack the vertex later on.The pictures represent the results a year and half after his first session that last 3 days.  By mywhtc at 2009-09-02 As you will notice ,when combed back ,we don't see the empty spot in the vertex.And we reveal it with the picture beneath. In the far upper right ,we cut his hairs short .The contrast between the vertex and the top is less pronounced .So there is many ways you can choosed to alleviate your bald area .  By mywhtc at 2009-09-02 Pictures above to illustrate how we can achieve a natural hair line without dense packing .because the patient already had some existing hairs . Now the patient came back to complete his surgery in the vertex (2000 grafts ) .

Dr. Mwamba, What was the number of grafts/hairs planted in this patient's first surgery? I see you posted the second surgery will be 2000 into the vertex but I couldn't find the numbers for first surg. He looks like someone who doesn't have the best donor density....lots of single's?
