For what its worth.......I made contact with Dr Eberson earlier this year and although i didnt go with him (the travelling concerned me) i have to say his responses were very comprehesive, professional and quick. Seems to be a very good clinic from what ive read and my own communications.

thank you Bongo, I heard from him today, he said he was on vacation and playing catch up so I just caught him at the wrong time. Appreciate your feedback.

It is basically Dr Eberson and his technician who work at the clinic. He pretty much handles everything himself from procedures, consultations and communications. Those were reasons why the clinic appealed to me as he has put his name against it, there are no salespeople or promotional brochures and you communicate directly with him. It's not just a numbers game. The flipside of that of course is that sometimes you wait for a response.

Understood. That smaller approach appeals to me as well but the initial consult took a little bit but then he did explain he was on vacation... I'm waiting a few days on the follow up questions but I'll be patient with him knowing that. Thanks!

No probs Mikeymike, happy to help. Re TamConch, I totally agree.
I like the personal touch of a clinic like that, Dr Ball's clinic is very similar and these were the two clinics I narrowed it down to for my surgery. No hard sales approach and as its their own name above the door their reputation is on the line with every consultation and surgery. I'd never recommend a large faceless organisation, you seem to find the surgeons are never at those places long and the best ones always seem to get their experience there and then set up on their own (as Dr Ebersson and Dr Ball have done).
Infact I almost felt Dr Ball was almost trying to talk me out of my HT at the consultation! He was probably honest to the point that others in my position may have walked away, and I liked that approach. I had a consultation at Z*****g a few weeks before and got such a hard sell from the guy I vowed never to use them (the price changed about 3 times in a week - a HT is not something you want to haggle over!)
Good luck with whoever you choose Miekymike but my advice would be to continue with your research until you are 100% happy.

Thank for the advice Bongo, I have definitely been taking my time with this decision but I am getting to the eager stage to lock a day in. I have gone another week without response from Dr Eberson which is disappointing. I hope that if you have him booked that he is far more accessible and that is why hes slow in responding to people inquiring, because hes so focused on his in office clients...but it doesn't fill you full of confidence when this is your first impressions.

seems like my posting is my good luck charm, shortly after I posted the response came in. Says he tried to send me a response but that it might have gone to spam or something so he re sent, I didn't see it in spam but who knows but in the end he did get back to me so we're getting somewhere.

Looking good. I am also considering this dr.Hi. How many grafts did you get. Also I notice you didnt have to completely shave the recipient area, is this normal or did you have to request it?

Hi MM, without wishing to tread on TC's toes I believe he had 1,500 grafts and most FUE Dr's can operate without shaving the recipient area, its just preferable that its shaved. I had 1,100 grafts and didn't have to shave, other than the donor area of course. I was back at work in two weeks and no one noticed a thing. Amazing when you compare it to the brutal(IMHO) strip method. KR Bongo

Hi Scotsman91. The hair is really coming along great. I was planning to put up some proper before and after pics this weekend but I dislocated my kneecap on Friday night. Absolutely horrible experience. Two hours lying in my hallway before it was relocated and I was moved to hospital. I haven't washed the hair in a couple of days so the pics wouldn't be the best lol! As soon as I'm a little more mobile I'll get on it mate.

Hi Scotsman 91. Thanks, I'm back up and about now, though I may yet need surgery on the knee! The hair has really come along. I'm just shy of 11 months post-op now. I personally think it looks better than in the pictures but I'm on my way for a haircut so thought I'd put some pictures up beforehand as it's been a while. Nothing has ever been noticeable in my donor area too which is great :)

Hi Tam. Congratulations on achieving a fantastic result. I`ve been following your progress with great interest because Dr. Eberson is on my shortlist of two doctors who specialise in FUE. I estimate 1000 grafts is what I require to fill my temples and strengthen the hairline. May I ask, realistically, how long did it take you post op to look normal again?
Thanks.
