Total 14,462 Grafts with Dr Hasson

Hi all, been a long time since I've been about in the forums but I decided to have a 3rd ht November 2015! My face really swelled up again so I never ventured out in case I scare folk !

I recovered in Vancouver from this 3rd ht with H&W which was a total of 3180 grafts which puts me over 14,000 grafts in total from my 3 strip procedures with Dr Hasson. Once again it was a truly professional caring service all round and all the staff really are great. I had that horrible swelling stage, my eyes had almost completely closed up, most of it cleared cleared up for my flight home.

Some of you may remember me from the forums and I was a regular poster before and after my ht's and it was reading through these that I decided that Dr Hasson was the only man that could do something for a severe nw6 case like myself.

This time around we addressed the mid section behind the hairline, the hairline itself and temple points which had receded very noticeably over the years. Also a very small amount of grafts were put into the crown.

Think that's me done now and would never believe that this many grafts could be extracted, Dr Hasson said that this is his biggest case ever in total.

HT 1 - 7761 Grafts strip
HT 2 - 3521 Grafts strip
HT 3 - 3180 Grafts strip

Total - 14,462 Grafts

Here are two pre op pictures before I began my hair restoration journey.

Hello London Lad. That's a huge amount of grafts which I believe ain't the norm for most patients. Did Dr Hasson say how you had all this available donor?
Were the older strips taken out each time? How does it look now approaching 3 months?

London Lad, good to see that you story is on here, hopefully you will find it much friendlier than some other places! Quarterback each time the old scar was removed so London has just the one donor scar. He has incredible density into the donor area and the type of skin that allows for multiple wide strips to be removed.

Hi London Lad, it's great to have you on the forum documenting your third hair transplant. I think you're the record holder for achieving the amount of grafts Dr Hasson has been able to harvest.
It's good to hear from Garageland that you only have one donor excision scar. Having viewed your first two surgeries it's great to be able to follow your journey here.
I'm looking forward to your updates.
All the best.
Bm.

Wow, that's a lot of grafts. I'd say you're a record holder and should be in the record books. There really should be a record book! I recall seeing some of your previous pics years before. Good to see you back online.

Awesome change from a Norwood 6 to a full head. What do people who knew you as a bald young guy say when they see you with all that hair? Do they think it's a wig?

Hey just wondering do you really mean 14000 grafts? Where did you get them from? Also just out of curiosity why is the staples around the head? I seen it a few times but don't understand, is it a new procedure?

Yes I've had just over 14000 grafts in 3 procedures. I had excellent laxity and donor availability which allowed for 3 big Fut transplants. Not many patients will have these characteristics.
Staples aren't new, doctors will use staples or sutures for their preferred closure method.
Here is a video testimonials rom years gone by.

It can't have been fun having all those staples removed! That's a really long strip and it was extracted high into the temples. H&W have been criticised for doing that, although they seem to get away with it. Your hair in the photos looks great btw.

Having the staples removed was easy, quick snip in the middle of the staple and both sides slip out. Thanks for the compliments.

7 Month update.......
I am very pleased with the results so far. It's all really beginning to thicken up and the closure this time round was amazing. I was worried about the 3rd strip and the possibility of it stretching but this was the best closure out of the 3 ops, truly undetectable. I did however have quite bad shock loss around the sides of scar which i had to use Dermatch on early days but it's all growing back now. Sorry the pictures are not the best, I will take some better ones next time, as you can see these are taken with hair gel and for those who don't know I had very aggressive hair loss, severe nw 6 territory. Having trouble uploading photos at the moment, will keep trying !

Looking great London lad. You can upload photos to your user gallery which is located under your username. There's a thread in the faq section to upload, it's quick and easy.
