Can anybody out there give me some advice , I have had 2 procedures ( 1 FUT & 1 FUE ) with around 4600 grafts for the both , plus I have had 2 PRP injections with and during the last FUE procedure , The reason for this is the 1st FUT procedure didn't take at all , so had a FUE procedure last January and having scalp tests and a biopsy that came back ok ? But 1 year on and my head looks worse than ever before with not 1 of the 2nd procedure working as well ? , Been told that they will send me to see a trichologist ( why they didn't do this 1st time baffles me ) , Now get the feeling they want me to just disappear as don't want this . It as made me very embarrassed & depressed . I am thinking of seeking legal advise but not sure and would like some advise & if anyone else has gone through the same ? Please don't ask for Dr name or clinic as I will not mention . Thanks for reading and hope for some positive advice ! [):h::[):h::[):h::[):h::

Welcome to the forums, I'm sorry you diddnt get the result you were looking for,how were the grafts placed, all over the balding pattern,or just front half? are you on propecia n rogaine foam? If you went to a well known surgern odds are you should have a better shot getting a good result. a poor doc, chances aren't that good, that's why knowing who the doc was can paint a better picture.its very rare seeing a case with no growth, seeing cases with poor growth do happen from time to time. can you post a pic of your face so we can see how the front looks n how the hair frames your face.block out your face so to keep privacy.leave forehead n hairline open.stay positive I'm sure you still have some grafts lefts n maybe you can get front half done. research as much as you can, best of luck.

Hi Andy, it could be Scarring Alopecia which I believe the symptoms can come and go, flaring up at certain times. A tricologist should be able to diagnose this.
Sometimes when a biopsy is carried out, it can come back clear even if there is an underlying problem. A small percentage of people have the so called X factor where they get poor growth, although looking at the redness on your scalp it does appear to be some sort of condition that requires professional evaluating.
I hope you can get it sorted.
After 4000 plus grafts, has the clinic advised how much donor hair you have left?
All the best.
Bm.

Hello Andy,

Why don't you concern Dr. Tejinder Bhatti? He is a great surgeon with years of experience and specializes in FUE. He is mostly in India but having a consultation event 2-3 March 17 in Sydney and 5th March 17 in Melbourne region. So, you can register for the event, where you can meet him for initial consultation. If you want a prior appointment with him, you can contact him for initial consultation. Your results are not good, but the doctor even specializes in successful Hair Transplant Revisions. I am sure this will be helpful for you.

Andy,
Were the two procedures with the same clinic?
The most recent FUE session from the photos how long ago was this?
You went to a dermatologist for a biopsy after the first session, was this something the clinic ordered or you did independently?
Personally I think you need to go and have a second opinion your scalp in the crown looks irritated and still red, unless your surgery was only recently this should not be the case.

Hi Andy

Sorry to see you've had a poor result. As Bigmac suggested it could be a type of scarring alopecia. I've had this after a hair transplant. You really need to have it looked into...I waited years through embarassment and it's caused a lot of damage to my scalp.

I've posted a couple of threads on here that may be helpful to you. The first was a few years ago when I had no idea what the problem was (http://www.hairlossexperiences.com/forum2/4859.html). Do any of the images look like what you're experiencing? The second was recently where I gave the full story including the treatment and the result now (http://www.hairlossexperiences.com/forum3/8886.html).

I also had very little growth from my hair transplant. I don't know if this was caused by have scarring alopecia or if the transplant caused the alopecia. All I know is the result was very poor and I felt very depressed due to it as I'm sure you are at the moment, especially after having a few procedures.

I hope you can find out what is happening with your scalp and get the correct treatment. If you have any questions I'll be happy to have a go at answering them.

Hi butchered

thanks for your info , I am trying to get to the reason why it's so bad , I did tell them before first procedure that I have had problems with my scalp for years (itching & burning) feelings . The clinic as got a Consultant Trichologist for me to see hopefully in the near future up in their clinic & after sending him photos he asked for as said he needs to see me in person after saying by email - ( Thank you for sending me the photos of your scalp, quite a nasty infection!

From the looks of it I would say that it is bacterial €¦we have lots of bacteria on the skin living happily away, and if it get to a place where it should not be, it causes problems, this looks like a bad case of folliculitis. )
Yes it is & have been very depressing & embarrassing for myself . It was bad enough not getting any results after the first procedure & then having to wait for any tests and outcome after that so when the second procedure as failed also you can understand my feelings . I just don't understand why the clinic did not do all necessarily tests before hand especially after the failure from the first procedure ????

The threads you sent I am unable to open for some reason ?

Many Thanks

Hi Butchered , Just came back on this forum page after a while , Have your problem got better or is it still bad ? Mine is not good still after seeing Iain Sallis from hairmedic.co.uk some 6 months ago along with Dr Krishnan & Mr Sallis saying mine is more or less scarring alopecia and that I am very unfortunate to have this condition , he prescribed me ETRIVEX SHAMPOO & DERMOVATE CREAM to rub into the scalp after shampooing 3 times a week to try and save the front of scalp to which I am still doing now having had plenty supply from them . It did ease it some what but still now & then get burning feeling , My problem with ziering is why didn't they have me checked by Mr Sallis before doing not 1 but 2 unsuccessful procedures when clearly he would've warned against it ? Don't really know what's next for me Dr Krishnan has said maybe another procedure or of I fancied tattooing the scalp ????? To be honest not satisfied with the way ziering as dealt with me and don't know what and how to deal with me now . Gone just over 6 months now since I met them , I am still using the cream which has helped and calmed itching and burning feeling down but don't think its stopping it . I have been thinking of asking for compensation off them because how they have left my scalp but would like some advice from you if possible please . Thanks for reading this and hope you have had better luck with me with your scalp problem .

Hi Andy

Sorry to hear you're still having problems.

I'm still using Dermovate. My symptoms are pretty much gone but I'm worried about stopping...the times I have stopped they have started coming back. My GP isn't happy with me using Dermovate so much. I need to stop it for a few weeks to see if anything changes.

I've never heard of Etrivex but it sounds interesting. Does anyone else on here use it? I need to look into it more.

Good luck mate keep posting about the issue so we know how you're getting on.

Truly sorry you didn't get result you were looking for, hang in there n stay positive . You mentioned before any procedure , you had burning n itching issues in your scalp. What causes that, maybe if that can be treated , another procedure can be successful .Best of luck

@Andy1965 Real sorry to see your situation, and how your surgery failed. Were you ever diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris or Scarring Alopecia? Were you provided with a solution for your situation?
