TOP 5 QUESTIONS ASKED BY PEOPLE WANTING A HAIR TRANSPLANT...ANSWERED
(In no particular order)
  1. How long does the hair last? [/*]
  2. Does the operation hurt?[/*]
  3. How much did it cost?[/*]
  4. Does it leave a scar?[/*]
  5. How long does it take to do?[/*]
So these are the top 5 questions I am asked by people wanting a hair transplant. I speak to people all day long who are inquiring about having a hair transplant done with Dr Acar/Cosmedica and you would be surprised what people ask you. As well as my top 5 I get asked all sorts such as "Is it real?" & "where does the hair come from" I'll be honest the question "is it real" has to be the no.1 question asked to me by the average person you meet on the street. That always amazes me. I think its because of the bad press that there has been in this industry. When you see the state of some of these young girls filler filled lips & trout pouts; it's easy to understand why.
Have you been asked any odd questions about your hair transplant or do you have any odd questions to ask? Please post or inbox me and I will be more than happy to answer the best I can. Or if you have any questions for Dr Acar again post them or inbox me.
Dream to believe

I know the donor hair from the safe zone can still die because of natural thinning. It's not 100 % safe. My question would be: Is it wise to use any grafts from outside the safe zone?
On your poll, I clicked over 4000, but the amount of grafts for coverage depends on the amount of loss and Norwood scale.

You could add will it look natural and what area will it cover.

Hi Enzo
We would only use head hair from the "nape" however if the patient has a weak donor area we would look at taking from the beard or other areas on the body where the hair is suitable.
To be clear though we would only use about 500 grafts from these other areas.
It is so important to have realistic expectations as to what is possible and what is not. We pride ourselves on managing our customers expectations and giving them a realistic estimation of what they can achieve for their own individual situation.
I hope this helps

Hi Nightowl
Yes it grows (as long as you like as long as the donor hair is head hair)
It looks the exact same as it did before it was transplanted. So, if it comes from the back of your head and the that follicle is strong, then it will look strong. The key is to find a surgeon that place these in your head in a way that looks natural.
So the final result is natural looking.

Smoking is not advised before or after surgery. However if you are a smoker this can be quite tricky. So we advise you try to cut down and smoke as little as possible before and after surgery.
