I want an undetectable procedure: shave the sides of my head for donor but not the top abd work around existing short hair. Farjo said they can but they are not keen on it. They want to shave the top. I just need 1200 grafts at the front abd I want them to work into it.Surely that's possible right? With decent results? I know some places offer unshaven fue as standard but wondered if results are as good?

Depending on the size of surgery I believe the results are as good with a skilled doctor.

I think unshaven is generally around the 500 grafts mark. Anything higher and you really need to think about spreading out the extractions which inevitably means shaving most of the donor.

Hi Manchester,

I think that what you are referring to is an average FUE procedure without shaving the recipient, Unshaven FUE I think that refers to an FUE procedure without shaving either the donor and recipient.

If you are looking for an undetectable procedure and natural result with good yield of growth you can check the HDC Clinic in Cyprus, State or the art results with only satisfied patients around the world and one of the pioneers performing FUE with good results since 2003.

By the way their normal protocol for FUE procedure is to work without shaving the recipient area, if you wish you can check in this link plenty of results from HDC grouped, one of the common characteristics, besides the good results, is that recipient wasn't shaved in the majority of the cases.

Hi Manchester,
Correct me if I'm wrong but you're asking if the recipient area is unshaven but the back and sides of the donor area can be shaven? If that's what you're asking then yes! We do this on many occasions with great results.
You can look at Bongo's thread. He had 1100 grafts but we do 1500gr on a routine bases without shaving the top.
