My Hair transplant journey with Dr Cinik

I am super excited and getting ready to fly to Turkey this Thursday the 13th and get my hair transplant done with Dr Cinik. I have learned a lot from this forum and I think it time that payback by reporting my journey every step of the way with regular photographic updates on how successful my surgery has been. So others can make an informed decision in choosing the right clinic and hopefully learn from my experience both good and bad. I will be very unbiased, reasonable and fair in my assessment. I have had a remote consultation (sent images) with Dr Cinik and he agreed and given me the assurance to transplant a minimum of 3500 grafts and possibly more if the donor area can support it. Which I am very pleased about. See image below for my current hair.I would like to have a natural hair line with a slight widows peak. I have done some research into this and want to have irregular (not solid line but bunch of grafts with small gaps - like zig zag line) singular grafts in the immediate front of the hair line and then behind it use double and triple grafts to achieve good density. Right in the middle "frontal tuft" I want triples to give it an illusion of density. I will relay this to Dr Cinik but will be open for his suggestions. At the end of the day I would like a natural hairline with good density and if he can achieve that is all I want. He already confirmed that he will use approximately 2500 grafts for the front and the middle "frontal tuft" to achieve the most natural look and good density of 55 grafts/cm2.
I will add my before and after images soon after the surgery.
Stay tuned.

Hi Z4ydiGood luck and many thanks for caring to share. I really want to go to Turkey and get mine done and will be following your results closely amongst others. Looking at your image, with 3500 grafts you will have a great density. What kind of hair line do you want? What kind of hair line to you want, do you have anything in mind? Can you also share your experience as a patient, i.e. care, professionalism, English language and communication barrier. It will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Tarr I too hope I will get a good density with 3500 grafts. As for the hairline like I said in my initial post I want a natural hairline and not one that shows as a bold straight line, this is that part the worries me the most. I want a natural looking hairline, I do have an idea, I made following illustration as to how it should be but I want to share this with Dr Cinik and yet take his advice on-board - hoping he will assess my facial features and structure, age etc to determine what is best. The second worry is to acheive good density and I have learned from research that the front middle part immediately behind the soft hair line should have most grafts to achieve that dense look. But it all depends on the expertise and art work of the urgent which I am optimistic about. Will share it all here :).

Wow, you have done your research z4ydi - I know you want a natural hair line that is not a straight line but why do you want to have less density in the front, you want to implant only singles in the front line. Are you sure you want to do that?

Tarr, I must say I have been educating myself to be equipped with the knowledge which will help me get the right results. I think your knowledge is important as only then you understand what kind of results are reasonable and achievable to aim for, what is natural and what is unnatural, what overall results are good and what aren't.Using single grafts in the front does not mean low density, this is a great technique to achieve a natural hair line. These single grafts are placed in a irregular passion to mimic a natural hair line and look soft rather than bold straight line. this is a very narrow line, so immediately behind it will be double and trips grafts which will achieve a dense looking hair line. See this image.
