PATIENT'S DETAILS

œ“ 52 years old, NW V, losing hair since the age of 30, with a hair loss history in his family (paternal and maternal side).
He had two previous FUE procedures in another clinic (n ° of grafts unknown).

œ“ Started taking Minoxidil 5% since the surgery.

œ“ Thin hair.

œ“ Fragile follicular units.

œ“ Normal % of hair in telogen phase.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT

This 52 year old gentlemen wanted to repair his two previous FUE procedures, which provided him with a sparse head of hair, with a clearly insufficient density.

He decided to undergo a FUT procedure, since he didn €™t want to shave his donor area for professional reasons. 3627 grafts were finally extracted and implanted to address the frontal, mid-scalp and vertex areas, obtaining a very satisfying ratio hair/graft (2.31).

One year after the surgery, the patient submitted the pictures below. Needless to say that he €™s enthusiastic about his results so far.

He €™s currently contemplating a second procedure to add more density to his vertex, which was implanted at a lower density during the first one. We will obviously keep you updated in case he will proceed with his second session.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Awesome result ¬b` Love the hairline shape it looks perfect for this gentleman and super natural. I think the crown looks good already but i know how he's feeling, when you see such a dramatic improvement to the rest of the area's it's understandable that he now wants to tie things up and add a little density to the crown to finish things off (although it still looks much improved as is).
I believe he did right though, and the plan was a good one in my opinion by focusing on the hairline and mid section at a higher density to start with.
The importance of framing the face with a good HT should never be underestimated as it really does improve peoples confidence and change peoples appearances for the better..... that and crowns have a nasty habit of eating up grafts that would be better used in other areas first.
Well done please keep us in the loop;)
