Hi Guys. New to the Forum (as a member) but have read many a story on here when doing some research.
I'm looking into FUE to help with a receding hairline. I've met with a couple of clinics, though this was over a year ago when first researching. Mixed experiences. I've also met with Spencer of Spexhair. That has been the extent of my research and experience so far.
Regarding the clinics I visited HRBR, spoke to a patient representative (in person) for one of the Harley Street clinics and spoke to a patient representative for Dr Farjo (on the phone).
My experiences were mixed. The Harley Street clinic representative was helpful and spoke to me at length with no pressure within the appointment. However it did feel a little like a sales pitch with dates being offered almost immediately. Also I couldn't find a lot of information, in terms of patient results, on the Dr that would be performing the operation and ultimately this put me off.
Dr Farjos representative was nice and polite but, to keep it brief, asked about my hair situation then just suggested I look into medication before a transplant, which while being useful advice which I appreciated, basically meant I was sidelined for any appointment with the surgron or team, which is ultimately what I was looking for. As while medication is a good starting point suggestion this wont, in all likelyhood, lower my hairline.
Finally I had an in person consultation at HRBR. The fact that there wasn't a patient representative to deal with to be honest I actually preferred. The consultation went well, felt very looked after. Lots of information. No pressure. However the two main issues at the end of the discussion were cost and the preference for FUT over FUE.
So now, in continuing my research, I'm hoping people on this forum will have some advice (preferably based on their own experience rather than just opinion) on any good clinics in the UK (other than those mentioned already) or in Europe, that are worth considering and booking a consultation with for potential FUE surgery.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
