Hello,  I am interested in getting a consultation for a hair transplant.  I live in Essex and the last place I want to go is London for either the consultation or surgery.  Are there any places in Essex or perhaps the borders of Suffolk that provide the above.
Thanks
Ray

Hi,
We hold consultations in London and Portsmouth. Would you like to look over our website to get more info about us? http://www.themaitlandclinic.com
It’s important to research several clinics to find the physician you’re comfortable working with that’s trustworthy to achieve good, natural results. Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply Janna, I don't understand why most places near me are in London, it is the worst place to travel to and adds to the anxiety. Hopefully I will find somewhere in Essex. Ray

I strongly urge you not to just limit your options to clinics that just happen to be in the same county as you. A hair transplant is a massive commitment and if done poorly you will regret it for years and possibly the rest of your life. As Janna says, research as many clinics as you can - there are plenty of results posted on here. Maybe you could put up some pics for us to give our opinion of your situation.

Definitely don't limit yourself to clinics because they are local, I made that mistake by going to Norton as it was in my town. I ended up having to go 4000 miles for a repair.
There are great UK clinics but you must be willing to travel to them if you want a good result bud.

Hi Essex. What are you wanting to accomplish with a HT? You’re a high Norwood level which will limit what can be achieved.
Have you a picture of your donor area?
As others have said, be prepared to travel to find the right clinic if you’re a candidate.

Your donor looks a bit on the thin side.
What are you thinking of having? Fue or FUT?
Are you wanting the front half transplanted to give you a nice hairline?

Have you considered meds? It might help create a better starting point for a HT if you give them a while to work.

Finesteride/Propecia are the usual meds used to stabalize loss and for some it can even give some slight regrowth. Minoxidil is another that's used which is topical. Some also say that Nizoral is a good shampoo to use in conjuction with the others and they are known as the big 3 when used together.
Personally I just use the Finasteride tablets and Nizoral shampoo these days and find it does a good job.
There are others which can help and natural alternatives too. Have a look at the meds section of the forum dude it will give you a good idea of what to use etc.

Thanks for that, I was reading about Finesteride and it has some negative comments but so do most drugs.

SIMPLE ANSWER IS NO

It would appear you are ignoring the advice and questions asked.  If you are not willing to listen, there is no helping you.

Sorry to be so blunt.

Looking at your pics, it's clear you have quite advanced hair loss. So it's essential that you are realisitic in your expectations. If your donor supply allows it, I'd suggest a couple of thousand grafts to the frontal area (you appear to have retained some hair at the front which could really help bolster the result). Again, if donor allows, perhaps a thousand or so to the crown to create a thin covering, but whether that's realistic given the area to cover its hard to say accurately from the pics.
I certainly recommend you get an in person consultation with a reputable clinic to assess your donor quality/quantity and find out what realistically can be achieved.
