Does hairloss from medications grow back when they are stopped?

Ok so weve touched upon the subject before that many different types of medications have the side effect of hair loss.
My question is does it actually grow back once the medication is stopped? has this been proven if it does?
I ask as a friend of mine who has a medical condition the same as a family member has suffered a huge amount of hair loss due to taking a Beta Blocker. Her doctor has swapped her medication and told her the loss will regrow. I am just curious as to whether it will grow back the same as it was or not?
On a side note she hasn't got any other reason for the hair loss she's had loads of tests and they have said it's just an unfortunate rare side effect from the beta blocker.
Has anyone else suffered loss from beta blockers on here?

Fell very sorry for her. Hair loss is a huge pain for any women. I can't think of my self without hair even I scared to picture someone self as bald. I had a severe hair loss problem. So I know the feeling and pain of sufferer. Back then I was desperate to get a remedy for hair loss. I tried whatever people told me to grow my hair back. But nothing can able to show me any positive or noticeable result. Was so frustrated that I started to believe that there is nothing that can help me. The I have come to introduce with a product call amplixin. This hair support system helps me to recover from hair loss problem and now I have a long shiny and fuller head hair. My problem was hormonal not any side effects of medications. But from my experience, I will suggest this hair support. It worth trying.

UPDATE x
My friend cut her hair short after switching the meds and although it's only been a month she's convinced her hair is getting better again.
Not actually seen her since and she told me this over the phone but it does sound like the beta blockers were the cause and once stopped her hair is improving.
