Guys, you all have great results! I hope my hair transplant process is over soon, too.

So I'm likely now at the end of any changes. Throughout I have continued with 1mg of finesteride per day and 5% topic monoxidil.

Overall I'm 7/10 happy , one side is definitely weaker. Not sure if the front is too transparent or if I'm being over critical.

Overall my hair is better but with the number of grafts / hairs I would have thought it would have developed I to a thicker looking result.

I haven't been in contact with the clinic as I'm worried they would offer a top up which I'd be 50/50 on as I know later in life I may need another transplant and therefore want to look after my donor.

I still have stubble hairs but I feel like these are not changing , is this normal for a hair transplant and is it likely these hairs will never mature?

Attached are picture fully wet under direct light. Also a day apart after a haircut down to grade 2.

Hi Tom. Thanks for the update.
You had just short of 3000 grafts which were spread out over a large area. I think you’ve achieved pretty decent density from it and the hairline ain’t bad. Could it do with some refinement, maybe. The wet and the parting your hair pictures posted will always make your hair look thin. Your donor looks good. I did a quick comparison of your pictures to show what I think is a true reflection on the result. I did notice that the pre-op drawing did not include the crown but grafts were placed there.
You’re on meds which is good. Hopefully, they’re maintaining your hair. Right now, If I were in your shoes I’d probably leave as is because you have the appearance of a full head of hair and as you say, you want to keep your donor in reserve. A possibly is use some beard grafts if you feel there’s an area that looks thinner, obviously, not in the frontal hairline.

Here is the quick comparison.

Thanks bigmac , I agree overall it's an improvement. If I was to go back in time I would have insisted more or focusing more on the first 1/3 with a denser number of grafts.

I think where I had existing hair be it miniaturized my hair looks thicker and therefore darker. Where I'm a little disappointed is where there was no hair before. As I didn't go lower than my original hairline it's only the corners that need improving.

Will see how the next 10 years go , if my crown or native hair goes downhill I will then look to have my second transplant.

Yes, I think for the next few years leave as is and see how your hair holds up.
