Best UK clinics

Which UK-based hair transplant clinics & surgeons are generally recognised as the best? (I realise that many will say that you have to travel to either Europe or the US for quality, but that's something for another thread.) I'll start the list with Dr Ball of the Maitland Clinic. Please feel free to add to this list. Thanks.

Some you can research more in the UK is Dr Edward Ball(as you already mentioned), Dr Mark Tam, Dr Bessam Farjo, Dr Nikos at NZK Medical, Dr Raghu Reddy, Dr Richard Rogers at Westminster.

Salazar, is Dr Ball one you consider to be one of the best?
Different doctors have different approaches to individual needs. There are quite a few UK clinics who have results and patient reviews on here. Check them out, see if there are sone you like and reach out to them for an initial assessment.

Yes, but my knowledge is second-hand and not based on any personal experience. I'm hoping that people far more knowledgeable than myself -- including those who have actually underwent surgery (something that I've yet to do) -- will add to the list. Most of the recommendations that I come across on internet forums are for surgeons on the other side of the Atlantic, so I was really just trying to put together something similar for this side of the pond.

The ones I told you is the only ones you should be looking at in UK in my personal opinion.

Preferably as I feel that you think 5 pound per graft is expensive you should probably go abroad and pay 2-3 euro per graft instead for equal quality. UK is not a cheap country, the wages they have to pay their employees is not low like countries such as Turkey, so if you prefer to not cut corners as a UK clinic you need to have a higher price.

Thanks, loui. I appreciate your suggestions. You've certainly given me plenty to consider.

IMO based on extensive research and being operated on by one of the top Drs Feriduni as well as Dr Farjo, Dr Farjo is without a doubt one of the top doctors in the world, let alone the UK.

Thanks, MPBsucks1234. I noticed on their website that Dr Bessam Farjo is only 1 of 4 surgeons at the clinic. The other 3 surgeons are
Dr Nilofer Farjo, Dr Greg Williams, & Dr Rachael Kay. I don't suppose that you know anything about them? It's a little unclear from the site what the roles are within the clinic.

Dr Nilofer Farjo works alongside Dr B Farjo- so In my case Dr Nilofer did most of the extraction with Dr B Farjo did the rest, that’s from my view point anyway. I could not comment on the other two. If you want more info you could contact Mick the patient manager there.

Update: there's been quite a few good recommendations so far, and I've started researching some of them.

I want ask those people who have already undergone surgery in the UK, where did you go, and were you happy or unhappy with the result? Many thanks.

I have not undergone surgery in the UK but another name to look into is Dr Manish Mittal. I’ve seen a few good results of his posted around the web.

After researching hair restoration over 10 years and having had surgery in the UK I must admit I have never heard of him or seen any patient accounts of Dr Manish Mittal. Not to say not to look at him but IMO only go to doctors who have a history of good patient accounts on sites such as this one.

I notice that BHR (Bisanga Hair Restoration), which seems to have a good reputation on here, also has a UK-based clinic in Macclesfield
(I think the surgeon is Dr Muhammad Mubashsher). Does anyone have any experience with the UK clinic or doctor?

Bisanga is great, I would suggest him without a doubt. I would say dont let distance get in the way, go for a doctor who has lots of patient reviews that stand out rather. The more you look the more you will see.

Hi

I’ve only been looking into this myself since the beginning of this year, but I have been relentlessly searching across the web to try to digest as much information as possible. Certainly Farjo, Maitland and a few others would be the main UK clinics most would quote when asked for top UK options. I just threw Dr Mittal into the mix as his name did keep popping up from time to time and I did think his results looked rather good. A quick scan of this forum today and there are 5 good looking results on the first page of the ’Hair Transplant Patients’ section. He definitely seems like someone you might wish to research and consider if you wish to have surgery in the UK and his prices seem below the established ‘top‘ surgeons generally discussed. To be quite clear I have zero affiliation with Dr Mittal and am just going from what I’ve read and people would need to make their own minds up……just thought he was worthy of consideration. I’ve was going to post 16 links to threads I found on this forum by entering ‘Mittal’ into the search function, but after painstakingly pasting them all in, it wouldn’t allow me to post links! They can all be found using this search method though. Cheers.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and research. I can only speak from my 12 plus years of research and surgeries. There are a couple of this Dr Mittal on here but IMO nowhere near enough to even consider getting onto a shortlist. I want to be able to go onto any hairloss forum and be able to find results going back several years, be able to speak to and potentially meet past patients. If I cannot do that I would not go put on a shortlist let alone operate.
