Fake Clinics masquerading as DHI Clinics and claiming to provide the DHI technique

Recently I`ve received many messages from members of the public asking about the DHI technique that is offered by various clinics around the globe. Unless it is a registered DHI clinic, they will not have been trained by DHI, therefore they should not claim they perform the DHI technique. It is false marketing, plain and simple. Many of these clinics are charging a higher premium than FUE for what they call the DHI technique. They are effectively stealing the brand and using it to charge more for surgery.
All DHI locations can be found on their website here DHI Website

One such clinic pretending to be a DHI location is
Clinique DHI
Nispetiye Caddesi, Aydın Sokak No:1
Beşiktaş - İstanbul / Turquie

As well as pretending to be another clinic, they are using patient pictures from other clinics as their own results, more fraud.

I´ve seen loads of clinics saying they use dhi technique, makes it hard to whittle out the real and the ones trying to con people. Like misrepresenting results also. Good work exposing these people.

How easy it is to fall victim to these con artists. A simple search brings up numerous places offering DHI. I`ve learnt they may offer something similar, like using the implanting pens but they are using the DHI branding to fool people.
Thanks to this forum for posting the facts, I`ll not be getting hoodwinked.

When I was in the research stages, I would have ads following me around the internet with all sorts of offers for cheap hair transplants. One thing I did notice was many use the same patient pictures in the advertising campaigns. All very deceitful I must say.

Everyone should take their time researching, many don't and get lucky, many others will pay the price.

The websites and sales pitch are very convincing. Once they have you with fake promises you go along even if you have some doubt.

Trying to look for the correct company to do your hair transplant is a scary prospect. With so many companies supposedly offering the DHI procedure. Having read up on it and after contacting so many FAKE companies there was only one that could offer the real treatment and that was DHI global DHI

After contacting DHI Global I was happy and satisfied that these were the right people to go with as it was only qualified doctors and nurses that could perform the procedure, it is, after all, a surgery.

Being from Ireland and living in Great Britain cleanliness is very important to me. So going to Greece, Athens was a scary thought. Having spoken to DHI global team the reassured me that they hold the same standards of cleanliness but being the sceptical person that I am I had to go and see the clinic first hand.

After meeting the director of DHI he told me that his mission was to work with European university in hair restoration, which he has now achieved in Athens.

They use a technique called The DHI 3TD system, which leaves minimal scarring from the Donor area.

I can now say from my first-hand experience that everything they had told me was true, they were so friendly and really welcoming, and the clinic was absolutely spotless. The preparation beforehand allowed me to ask any questions I had and put me at ease. The procedure itself was seamless, and the after care has been fantastic.

I can’t recommend DHI Athens enough and would definitely go back there if I had needed another procedure.

Thank you to the DHI Global Family

Hi darraghkelliher, welcome to the forum.
It's good to hear that you did plenty of research and chose the correct clinic for your procedure.
It would be great if you could post your story in the patient section.

All the best.

I read this story about a man that got robbed by a fake company.

An Iraqi-origin British citizen, who arrived in Istanbul to undergo “VIP hair transplantation,” has been beaten and robbed by a group that claimed they would operate the transplant surgery.

The British man, identified only by the initials A.H., preferred Istanbul for the surgery as the city is reputed to be one of the most significant hubs for hair transplant tourism.

A.H., 55, who works in an international money transfer company in London, met with an Iraqi living in Turkey through the internet for the VIP hair transplantation.

The Iraqi in Istanbul, whose identity wasn’t disclosed, had said: “A.H. can look younger after undergoing a hair transplant surgery in a clinic that serves only distinguished persons,” adding that there are people he knows who could perform the operation.

Being persuaded by the Iraqi citizen, A.H. got on a plane from London to arrive in Istanbul on July 17 and was greeted by four people at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport, before being placed in a luxurious hotel in Şişli’s Elmadağ.

After resting for a couple of hours in the hotel room, two people told A.H. that they were going to take him to the health clinic for the surgery.

A.H., who thought that he was being taken to a private health clinic, was instead taken to a house in Istanbul’s Gaziosmanpaşa district where his hands and feet were tied as soon as he entered the house.

After being beaten, he was robbed of his 5,000 euros and 1,600 Swiss Francs, as well as two expensive watches and two cellphones at gunpoint, before being thrown to a street at around 5 a.m. on July 18.

A.H. then got on a taxi to head to Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport to return to London. Seeing police officers at the airport, he described what he experienced and was taken to hospital by the police.

Police started to examine footage obtained from the airport and the hotel and determined the license plate of the car that took A.H. from the hotel.

The car was then found in the Zeytinburnu district and police laid an ambush, a couple of hours before detaining a man named Basri İleri, who arrived in the area to get the car.

The money stolen from A.H. was found on İleri, while another suspect, Ömer Akın, was also detained in the house where he was hiding.

While the search to apprehend Hamdullah Yelboğa, another suspect, is ongoing, the authorities are trying to determine the identity of the Iraqi who tricked A.H. into coming to Istanbul through the internet.

A.H. thanked Turkish authorities for busting the gang in 16 hours.

This is wrong on so many levels. Stealing other clinics patients is bad enough without stealing their name too for crying out loud.

Be careful and do not be a victim. I believe a little research about the clinic can help in finding a genuine one. It is true that so many clinics claim to offer similar services and at affordable rates, choice becomes really tough.
