Just a few questions regarding hair washing.

1 Is it possible to wash your hair too much and cause hair loss by doing so?
2 After hair restoration surgery how often do you wash your hair, is it the same frequency as before the surgery?

I can't see washing your hair too frequently causing male pattern baldness, if I understand correctly it's related to DHT.

No idea about question two because I haven't had surgery.

No, as stated above, male pattern baldness is genetic and is caused by the DHT hormone (that is suppressed by Finasteride)

Once your transplanted hair has grown out then there is no issue with washing it. You might treat it with a little more care though, much like a second wife!

Second wife.....love that comment dude!
For what it's worth I wash my hair every other day and never had any issue with it causing hair loss. That said if you use a strong shampoo like Nizoral that can make your scalp become very dry if used too often I imagine it could potentially cause problems over time.
I'm not saying Nizoral is a bad shampoo it's a great shampoo but if used everyday some experience drying of their hair.

Yes, that's right Bullitnut, if you use Nizoral or similar try to restrict its use to a couple of times a week only.

We naturally shed hair daily. Having around 90% growing and 10% going into the resting phase and shedding. Washing your hair isn´t going to cause excessive hair loss unless literally pulling while shampooing, traction alopecia. It may affect the quality and condition causing the hair to break or get split ends. The loss is caused when the growth cycle changes. We start to shed hair faster than we regrow so we actually have less than the 90% on our heads growing at any given time.

Once a hair transplant has matured and all the growth is naturally growing it behaves no differently than before. So whatever your normal shampoo regime was can still be. Oily or dry scalp needs a different shampoo type and washing pattern.

I think no.
If you feel your hair loss after hair wash, maybe your water issue. or your shampoo or used product issue.
so, try to change the product. maybe its help you.

Washing your hair is important to keep it clean BUT washing it too much can take the natural oil of your hair away that is very important if you want to have healthy hairs. Consult a dermatologist for better advice on hair cleaning products.
