What is a normal size forehead

What is the average size of a normal looking forehead with fingers?
Obviously there are many different variables to take into consideration like the width of the fingers and the persons face shape but I'm just looking for an average non balding length taken from nose to hair line.

I'd say 4 fingers is about the average but too many things to take into account really to say what's normal as everyones head size and shape is different dude.

This is a good question. There are natural body proportions that determine our facial structure. But then there are the individual changes we all have. Bone structure, ethnicity will play a large part. So when a hair transplant hairline is designed there are all the normal factors to consider such as age, hair loss stage, donor hair quality, future hair loss, family history. But also the placement of the hairline in relation to the individual. The face is not the same on either side. They have not mirrored images of each other. The centre of the hairline is the lowest before moving up to the temple recession. The height above the bridge of the nose can be around 7.5cm, this can vary up but ideally not much lower down. The change in the bone structure of the forehead often dictates the optimum position. Too high can look as unnatural as too low, so the position is important, especially as it will be permanent and fixed.

Thanks all!

Hair Restoration Europe your right about both sides not being mirror images of each other. When I wasnt balding i recall my hairline was always ever so slightly different at both sides.

Hi Viking, that´s good you are aware of this fact. The irony is if a hairline is created symmetrical with a hair transplant it will always look man-made, as opposed to natural. The eye will be drawn to the hairline for the wrong reasons. The differences are normally so subtle but important to creating a natural hairline.

So I'm guessing that's why the little zig zig shapes are part of new hairlines from some clinics straight after a transplant. This is done to avoid the man made symmetrical look I bet?
Wandered what they were about.
Thanks

The zig-zag helps a great deal. It breaks up the line, stops it from being flat and one dimensional. Without the jagged approach to the recipient site making it´s just like a bowl has been put over the hairline and drawn around with a nice circular line. Makes a huge difference and part of the Doctor´s signature in being able to create a natural hairline for the person and not just one hairline fits all approach.

If you are craving a bold hairstyle that also reflects a bad-ass personality, then you’ve gone to the right place. Shaved hairstyles can be both intimidating and charming at the same time.
