Hi all,

This gentleman came in to see us with a very moth eaten FUE donor region. The previous clinic really performed a number on his head sadly!

We were able to save him with 3 sessions of SMP treatment to repopulate the area. One very happy client :)

Will this still look better if he grows that area a little...obviously the SMP isn't hair so it wont have the 3d look as such but still will it give some improvement if he grows it a little or would he have to keep the short shaven look?

How many grafts do you think were taken to create that kind of moth eaten donor area in the first place?

Bet this was fun for the technician on subsequent sessions, my eyes would go blurry as hell trying to find the extraction scars after the first session of tattooing:ROFLMAO:

Nice work! Definitely would like to know how long it will last and how will it look grown out? Does it fill in area to prevent a density loss visible outline? Will the patient need to keep his hair dark? What if it becomes grey or he bleaches it and so forth or dyes the hair? Just want to know the advantages to this.

@ Reddwarf - we're not sure, though looks to be well in excess of 2500 grafts!

@ SeanFue - it looked OK grown out past a couple of inches, though this gentlemen wished to have a fade hairstyle again. Once the hair was cut short the patches became incredibly obvious.

Regarding hair colour, when the gentleman greys in years to come the pigment will have faded a little lighter, so there won't be an obvious contrast between the darker pigment and lighter hair tone. It is worth noting that some men naturally have a salt and pepper effect to their hair colour as they mature. He could top the donor up with pigment if it faded too much 10 - 20 years down the line.
