My history is male pattern baldness starting to show in early 30s and my first hair transplant (ca 300 grafts) done in early 1990s. Receding hairline. Since then - 30 yrs forward on and off minoxidil, finasteride and toppik powder. Only a few years back when procedures got more advanced and affordable I decided to do a proper research. A few months of online digging and I narrowed my choices and finally picked Dr Spammer in Istanbul, Turkey. (it took me quite a long time to properly review fmr clients, seek advise, contact many prev patients etc). Only after I really made sure this was a reputable place I made my decison. Procedure done in September 2023. 4200 grafts (front and top mostly). Remarkable difference. 80-90% success rate in 12 months. I still take finasteride and saw palmetto. I still have a bald spot on top (but only small) and a slightly thinner area on the left top side temple. But compared to before - it is stunning.
Dr Spammer is a fantastic expert. He runs teams of 2-3 operators in surgery rooms who work incredible manual precision. Full pre-op care, blood test, interview and qualifying assessment. The procedure is smooth (my bleeding after was minimal). I had no head swelling and practically did not have to use ice patches (only for 2 hrs same day). The follow-up is very good. You get a day after scalp wash and thorough instructions on self-care. Pricing is very affordable.
In conclusions - there are many great clinics in Turkey (hair transplant, dental, cosmetcis) - but there are many sham operations and quacks also. You MUST do your research and not be hasty.
