2 Month Update

2 months to the day today. Getting the hang of the fibres now, and had my hair trimmed so I'm able to conceal the transplant even better now. Looks like I hair some growth? Not sure if these are rogue grafts or new ones, as they are in a area where I had zero growth before the transplant. Thoughts?

Pictures taken, some with wet hair and some dry.

Month 3 Update

Hard to believe I'm at the 12 week mark already. Not a great deal of change over last few weeks - looks like a small amount have started to pop through, 2/3 where hairline should be which was exciting but then frustrating as no more have come through yet. Hard to get them on camera but a little more noticiable to the naked eye.
Have noticed scalp recipient area is getting quite itchy, and a few tender spots too?
Native area still a bit thin which it was before. I know it's early but cant help checking all the time. I know I shouldn't!

Some pictures under natural and unnatural lights.

3 months is still really early for any real growth but should start to come through over the next few months.
I must say, that’s a large area for 2,000 grafts- Did they say what sort of density you can expect?
and how is the donor looking?

Yea the original quote was 2000 graphs as was originally presumed I would only need the gaps in my M shaped hairline filling in, but on closer inspection Dr Arshad noticed the majority of remaining frontal hair was minituarizing, so we agreed to shave that off and future proof it. Wasn't charged more than the original quote however, but I think it's clear I've had more than 2000, not complaining!
I never asked for the complete graft breakdown, but I've seen some others have, so I might request it if it's not too late.
Doner area absolutely fine. Hair has grown over it, and never have any discomfort or irritation there

Another couple in better light. Shows a few of the hairs that have popped through. Not enough to get excited about but hopefully the first sign something is happening

It starts to get exciting when you can see hairs pushing through. Just got to keep hanging in there and play the waiting game

Agreed. I must admit now I've hit the 3 month mark I'm checking more which I know I shouldn't. Long way to go yet

Yep in the same boat - I catch myself checking everyday so you never really see the progress you make.

Pics really help and also found post a hair cut you can see the progress better

Dunno if it's just me, but also an element of 'its too good to be true' I can't shake either, despite seeing others having good results. That's probably because it's been a negative part of my daily life for so so long and dominated my thinking and confidence.
Going to be weird but bloody good not having those thoughts/feelings anymore (hopefully!)

I’m in that same boat. Still 14 months down the line I look in the mirror and Carnot believe it. My hairline is better now than it’s ever been, even when I was young. I went clothes shopping with the wife today and when I used to try things on I would avoid seeing my upper body in the mirror so that I didn’t see my baldness in the harsh changing room lighting. Well today I tried some jeans on and couldn’t stop looking at my hair lol. I still believe having a HT has changed my life and I wish I’d gone ahead with it earlier. Just think how you will feel once it’s hit the 13 month mark RN9

Thanks mate. Yes I'm still early in my growth journey, long way to go yet. I know how you feel - the anxiety over social gatherings, playing sports, the bloody wind lol. Stupid really but would much rather have hair than not. Bald head would not be a good look for me

4 Month Update

Officially 16 weeks today. Has been some progress since the last update I feel. Maybe not as much as was hoping for, but I have to remember to keep my expectations in check and be patient.

For comparison, here's a similar pic from last year, before the procedure

It looks as though your growth is enough to be noticed now. 4 months is still very early, so anything now is good. Hopefully, you get a good burst of growth in the next month or so.

Checking your hair is a natural thing to do, it’s practically impossible not to. I always found myself feeling for the new spiky hairs popping through.
Be patient and try not to stress about it.

Thanks Big Mac. It definitely feels like it's picking up pace now, still a long way to go but I'm cautiously optimistic.

At any time now you could get a sudden burst of growth or it may be slow and steady from month to month.
