Am I going bald?

I recently got my hair cut and I got it cut the shortest I've ever had. I noticed that after a shower my scalp was really visible, especially on pictures I took. Also if I hold a mirror and put another behind my head to check my scalp then I noticed maybe my scalp is more visible.

My dad and mum say it's just normal as my hair is shorter and also because I have a double crown. When my hair is dry the crown isn't as visible as it is when wet or with very bright light, but the top of the head can be visible in strong light from certain angles. Here are some pics of my hair, this has really been bothering me lately.

The picture on the top right and bottom middle are with really wet hair and camera lighting.#The picture on the bottom right is from 2 years ago with longer hair.

Nope, not going bald according to these pictures. Everyones hair looks thinner when wet, and a double crown causes lot of angle changes so may make it look thinner, but in these pictures it looks fine to me.

How old are you and what's the history of hairloss in your family?

I turned 22 on the 7th. My father is 70 and has all of his hair, no grey hair either. My mothers brother was very receded by the time he was 20 and her father was also very receded on his wedding photo which was when he was about 25. My grandad on my fathers side was only a tiny bit receded at the front by the time he died when he was about 80.

Doesn't look like you've much to worry about at the moment fullerserg. Harsh lighting combined with short wet hair is always likely to reveal a fair bit of scalp. I reckon you've got many hirsute years ahead of you yet!
