Beard Transplant-Cobblestoning, Hyperpigmentation....Terrible Experience

This is a hard post for me to share, but hopefully it will make others feel good about their bad experiences! 13 months ago, I thought it would be a good idea to get a beard transplant. It was an absolutely terrible experience during the procedure, but at has been even worse since. As you can see from the pictures, I still have hyperpigmentation 13 MONTHS LATER. The lines on the beard are as straight as a ruler, all the hair follicles are 3,4, and even 5 hair follicles, and cobblestoning is present.

The pictures with the yellow x placed on them are from August 2022, 2 months after my first procedure. The other pictures are from June 2022 after I had the jawline lowered. As you can see, the area on my lower jaw is already lower than my first procedure 12 months earlier.

I am looking at electrolysis to make the beard lines look more natural and get some of the hair follicles that look really out of place because they have too many hairs. Has anybody had experiences with hyperpigmentation and cobblestoning after 13 months? I'm curious if electrolysis will help with hyperpigmentation and reduce cobblestoning on follicles that are killed with electrolysis.

Electrolysis is a hair removal method that can target individual hair follicles using electric currents. While it can help remove unwanted hair, it's important to note that electrolysis may not directly address hyperpigmentation or cobblestoning. These concerns may require separate treatments or interventions tailored to your specific condition.

It's crucial to have a thorough discussion with a healthcare professional to evaluate your options and determine the best course of action. They can provide you with accurate information about the potential benefits, limitations, and possible outcomes of electrolysis or any other treatment options that may be suitable for your situation.

While agreeing with our advisor we are sorry to hear about your difficult experience with a beard transplant. Hyperpigmentation and cobblestoning can occur after such procedures. While electrolysis may help with hair follicles, it's important to consult a dermatologist or hair restoration specialist for personalized advice. They can evaluate your specific case and recommend appropriate treatments. Patience is crucial during the healing process, and individual results may vary. Seeking professional guidance will be essential in finding the best path forward. Good luck in finding a solution that brings you satisfaction and comfort!
