BHT back hair grafts

Hello,

I was wondering if those couple back hair grafts could be removed and transplanted to the scalp by most surgeons (i. e., not necessarily body hair specialists):

Why wouldn't you care if a BH specialist did this? Besides the hair calibre being fine compared to scalp hair and the numbers minimal, so will have little to no aesthetic impact even if they all grow, wouldn´t you want a doctor proficient in BH to perform the surgery. What´s your goal and expectations from this?

What´s your goal and expectations from this?
  1. Have the hair removed permanently
  2. Reuse the hair meaningfully
  3. Not having to visit a body hair specialist, i. e. fly from Europe to Los Angeles to pay >10 USD per graft for e. g. Dr. Umar just for 50 - 100 grafts

I´m sure there are an ample number of European doctors proficient in the BH technique. However, there may be issues.

Scarring could be obvious when healed due to the position on the body when exposed to sun, getting a suntan it can accentuate the pigment change, something to consider depending on lifestyle.

They often have a minimum fee to open surgery, and this is likely to be much higher than paying per graft for what you have. For you, may find the value for money being very low.

The finer, or wispier the hair there is a much greater risk the hair simply will not survive the procedure.

If used along a current hairline for instance, or probably anywhere, the BH would make no meaningful change. There is simply not enough, and the quality match is too different, but expectations are subjective.
