Comparing body hair to scalp hair...

This picture I posted many years back. I actually took it in 2007. It is interesting for two reasons in my opinion and my experience.

The scalp hairs are the left four grafts and the body hairs are the three on the right.

The body hairs in this patient are more coarse than the scalp hairs.

Again in this individual, his scalp hairs are more of two's and three's while the body hairs are more of one's. This is typical in most patients. (But not all).

Question for any poster? What body hair is this? Beard, chest, leg, back, or arm?

Ahhh... good try... Back in 2007 no one was extracting beard hairs yet. Chest and leg hairs were a popular body hair during that time.
However, I do not believe I could tell the difference of a typical beard hair when compared to this really strong and course chest hair. This guy's chest hairs were super long and course.

hmmmm ! the chest hairs look like they have a bigger bulb at the bottom , you would think they would be smaller as its weaker hair ...

anyway ask me another question ,will run it by Dr Walia this time round

I cannot recall however I do have some pics of a decent body hair growth. I have to go to an old computer and dig up the pics.

In my experience yes normally the chest hairs I have seen are usuanny weaker but in this middle eastern guy, he had thick thick body hair! Hence the bigger bulbs.

Let me correct you. We, at Dr. A's Clinic did the first documented beard hair to scalp transplant by FUSE/fue in Feb 2006.

Funny, You were unheard of at the time and Cole, Woods, Gho, Mwamba etal knew about us very well.

Yes, net has helped a lot by way of globalisation.
In India, we were established since 1997.
Strange, come to think of it, the Japanese did the first fue in early 1900's, the Brazilian Dr Carlos Ubel did the first micrograft megasessions in 1982, Woods and Dr Arvind were doing fue before 2000... but strange no! how people who come later just want to forget or modify history.

Ok, I understand people have made discoveries but people also base things on perfection, skills, enhancements and so forth. I do not know when beard hairs were extracted first by date but I do know some doctors do an outstanding job with such donor sources.

If there are discoveries that need to be known, I think doctors should make threads on all forums and declare they found it so everyone is aware. This way people can refer back to those notes and compare. I simply had no idea your doctor was the first to transplant beard hair and i think many forum readers are not aware. Once you mentioned it, I started analyzing tons of results..."

Hairtech, do body hair grafts sit at the same depth of scalp grafts?

It really depends on the body hair, but generally no.

Would you then plant at a shallow level to the existing scalp grafts?

The BHT graft will be planted at a level that may be more shallow than a normal scalp hair graft... and vice versa.
