Turkey has lifted the ban on flights from the UK after the great vaccination campaign that has been held in the country. This offers the opportunity to recover your hair and enjoy the great weather that spring has to offer, being safe and secure all the time during the stay in the country.

Is it safe to travel to Turkey for Hair Transplant?

Yes, it is safe to travel to Turkey for a hair transplant. Most of the clinics are located in Istanbul, which is an amazing and unique city in the world, located between two continents: Europe and Asia. Istanbul is a safe city, with welcoming inhabitants that will make anyone feel comfortable.

During the last few years, more and more tourists have traveled to Turkey attracted by its history, culture, gastronomy, and of course, aesthetics and heath treatments. In 2018, more than 39 million tourists have traveled to Turkey to discover places like Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya, or Pamukkale. As the Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020, the number of visitors dropped to about 16 million visitors but the government has quickly started implementing measures to control the spread of the virus.

Hair Transplant in Turkey is the gem of the aesthetic treatments

Hair Transplant in Turkey is one of the most famous aesthetic treatments around the world. Its popularity is very easy to explain:

  • Hair Transplant teams have been practicing this surgery for years, becoming top-notch specialists.
  • Prices are affordable for everyone as the cost of the operating theaters and cost of living are lower than in countries like Great Britain, Germany, or France.
  • All the doctors speak English as most of them have studied or worked abroad. For patients it is easy to communicate and explain what they expect from the treatment to get the best results.
During the last years, Turkey has become one of the most important destinations for medical tourism, and both companies and the government have invested in becoming the best in the world. This is why clinics in Istanbul can offer treatments like Hair Transplant with the latest technologies, achieving the best results for the patients.

Last but not least: you do not have to wait months – or even years- for your hair transplant surgery. You can book it and travel the day after.

Why choose Turkey for my Hair Transplant during Corona times?

Istanbul has two airports with international airports with the newest facilities. You can arrive from the UK in just 3-4 hours. In the airport, all the preventive measures are taken, such as temperature control and social distance while waiting in lines.

There is a limited capacity in public transport in order to have social distance all the time. Also, starting from the 29th of April until the 17th of May, a full lockdown will take place everywhere in Turkey, but it doesn’t affect visitors traveling for tourism. Any patient having surgery or a hair transplant doesn’t have to worry about moving around the city by carrying the passport or ID with them.

Requirements to travel to Turkey

At the moment, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure is requested before you board your flight in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Turkey and around the world. All the passengers are subject to a medical evaluation for symptoms of Coronavirus, including temperature checks at the airport.

All the passengers have to complete a form for entry to Turkey providing the address of where you will stay during your time in Turkey.
As well as contact information like a phone number or email will be requested. Anyone giving false details or information will not be allowed to board the flight and travel to Turkey. Also, everyone will have to wear a mask in public places, especially ones that are closed.

Security measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among tourists

The Turkish government has taken measures in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among its citizens and tourists. Even though from today there is a general lockdown starting, it doesn’t affect the visitors of the country who come for tourism or aesthetic treatments such as hair transplant.

Do returning passengers to the UK still have to pay for covid tests?

Hello Kevboy,

The returning passengers to UK still have to do their PCR test in the first 72 hours after their return.

Turkey is right now in red list of UK. Although we are thinking that it is mainly because of the Champions League Finals. We are expecting Turkey will be out of red list on 28th of May.

Turkey will also remove soon the obligatory PCR tests to enter Turkey.

Warmest regards
