For some, their hair loss pattern is not the traditional frontal hair line hair loss recession, but a diffused or miniaturised thinning behind their hair line.

When the hair is longer it can be easier to hide, but it limits hair styles, as each hair needs to cover the next effectively to give the illusion of hair density. But if you want to keep a shorter/shaved look then the thinning becomes very apparent, with an uneven or patchy look of density.

Here we have from pre any treatment , then the first session on SMP, and then after the second session. We would suggest three sessions for most, and this maybe the case here, but we suggest time between each session.

BEFORE

The first session was designed to give complete coverage over the area to give the look of density, also to bite into bite into the native hair to ensure a seamless blend. But because the initial session is designed to begin the progression of density the tone is applied relatively lightly and changes dependent on the area treated; a second session will be required somewhere between 2-4 weeks later.

FIRST SMP SESSION before and after

The 2nd Session is designed to enhanced the first, some areas of the tone will dissipate more than others and needs to built up, the tone can be enhanced to blend more and give the appearance of a greater density.

Here we have before any treatment, after the first session, and then after the second session.

Thanks BM,

He ´s had 2 sessions so far to reach this stage, so he will require a third session in the near future to finish his result.

I do agree this looks good, do you have any examples of this done at your clinic with Hair transplant patients to add density?

Hi bullitnut,

Yes, I ´ll put a case together shortly to post; it ´s becoming a more popular option as a natural hair line can be created and there also benefit from the feel of stubble, whilst being able to achieve a consistent look of density.
