Does anyone find that different brands of Generic Finasteride don't work as well as others?

Ok so i have heard many times that the branded Propecia is the best and that Proscar is the best Finasteride, but my question is has anyone found that the cheaper generic Finasterides have significant differences in terms of how well they work.*nl

I only ask as i was given a brand by my local pharmacy called Cipla which were a lighter blue colour and i'm certain it wasn't as good as others i have taken.
I noticed some shedding (not excessive or anything) which scared the hell out of me so i asked my GP and was given another brand called Accord which has stopped the shedding ;)

It could have been a normal shed but it just seemed to coincide with the start of this Cipla Finasteride so i'm not sure*nl

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi, Finestiride is a medicine primarily prescribed to people over the age of 65 for enlarging prostate. It usually comes in 5mg daily dosage. Fenistride is a MALE HORMONE BLOCKER and one of its many side effects is reducing sexual libido and could cause MALE impotency and in long-term use, the effects COULD BE PERMANENT. What is the point of having a full head of hair and losing the ability to perform??? I personally would rather be bold. It is not the magic pill everyone thinks they are, it has a very limited effect on scalp hair and instead, your armpit, pubic and chest will have a much better result.
Anyway, answer to your question, you can buy 5mg Fenistride and have one quarter of each tablet every day which makes it stronger that branded propecia but will have the same effect. Fenistride is a prescription only medicine but you can buy them abroad without prescription. In Dubai and Thailand, you can buy more or less any medicine without a prescription. I suggest while you are there, get a good supply of Viagra too.
Invest your money better and get a better and quicker result with a hair transplant. I'm sorry for being bold and direct.

Bullitnut,
I €™ve had similar issues as yourself, and it has worried me. I €™m going back on propecia again, and whilst more expensive I €™m happier knowing I €™m getting the correct drug and dosage.
I went ion generic versions over the last year and my hair has thinned more on the sides.
I €™ve been on propecia for 8 years now so possibly I €™m losing ground and need to make the switch to dut, but going to try brand propecia for few months and see how I go.
