Been on this forum for a long time and must say that this is a heven for HT rookies who want to jump into the the bandwagon. Cheers Big Mac you are an angel

About myself - I am a Norwood 5 residing in India and have made my mind up with booking a FUHT with Dr Arwind in May. Will update my present and post op pictures pretty soon.

Just a bit nervous about the Strip procedure specially after reading though a post on PROHAIR website on why they do not offer Strip. There is a link for Strip procedure for non sensitive people (horrific)

Some word of advice from you guys will definetely help calm my nerves to decide if I am doing the right thing

Hi topshot,

First thing, best wishes and good luck with your upcoming procedure, I am sure everyone hear wishes you well and help if they can.

Strip/FUE both have pitfalls and either technique poor results can be found if you look, it's important you have researched and are happy with your choice, ideally have seen previous patients if it's possible for you to do.

Strip when performed well can leave a fine scar line easily hidden in your hair, obviously you cannot shave totally but there is always a price to having a lot more hair!

Also follow your doctors instruction post op for the best healing as this is an important aspect of the post operation healing and recovery.

Look forward to seeing your pictures and best wishes.

Back to work now from the sugery I had in May. So far so good. ;) Dr. A was very professional and his team was excellant. THe only compaint is that no aftercare. Emails send to the clinic for advice on swelling & other issues were not answered till about 2 weeks by which time everything was back to normal.

Certainly would like more prompt replies to emails send to clinic. Replying back to patients on issues after 2 weeks is ceretainly not acceptable ))N_):). I think Dr Arvind should look into the matter. Thanks to forum like this I could get a lot of post-op questions answered in topics which certainly helped.

The clinic has no designated patient advisor like most of the Belgium clinic have and there is no personal contact details of Dr.A where you can send him an email if there are any concerns post-op.

Posting some before and after pictures as promised.

Hi Topshot,

Thanks for uploading your pictures. You look to have gone for a good coverage, how many grafts did you get.

Also at 21 days it looks to have healed very nicely.

Cheers bm.

Hi Bigmac
They managed to get 4100 grafts only due to the fact that I had less donor laxity. You are right, the healing in the transplant area was very quick. Now in the 6th week post op and most of the grafts have shed creating a couple of bald patches. Hopefully they will start growing back soon. Will post updated as we go along. In the meantime would love to attend a get together of forum members from the UK if you have one I live in Essex. Can I start using Regain now ? Also have started using this shampoo called Alpecin C1, has anyone heard of it ? Is that any good?

Thats a decent amount of grafts.

As for a meet up, i`m at the other end of the country unfortunately, others may take up the opportuninty though. Regarding using Rogaine, i would check with the doctor to see what he recomends.

Cheers bm.
