Hello everyone,

I contacted Dr Bijan feriduni a week or so ago via the online consultation. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a reply?

Thanks!

Hi

They normally respond within 7 days, I am seeing him tomorrow in London so will pass on your details to Cristian, his assistant.

Thanks, is he in London as it would be great to go here rather than travel to Belgium!

Cristian told me on Saturday that they are extremely busy at the moment so in some cases you can expect a delay of up to 7 days beyond their normal response time. So you could be looking at two weeks max.

Too bad you didn't read about the Spring Meet Up in London held on May 5th. Dr. Feriduni held consults Saturday morning so you just missed him. Sounds like he'll be there in 6 months for another round of consults so in the meantime, you'll have to go visit him if you want an in-person consultation.

I eventually got a response from that clinic while thinking about my first fue sesh, but in the meantime had already got in touch with BHR and went with them instead.

The way i looked at it was,if i had an issue with aftercare, how long would i have to wait for a response from them when it really mattered.

Thanks, Is that Dr.Bisanga you are talking about? How long did you have to wait? You do have a point, it's such a shame because I was impressed with the results he posted here.

Was it really easy to go over to belgium and back to get this all done?

Yes dr bisanga is the only person id trust with my head im afraid.Im about 9 days post 2nd fue op and going well.i usually had responses from their clinic rep within the hour, sometimes within 5 mins.

It would be great to have an HT in the uk,i must admit i didnt like the idea of travelling anywhere to have one done, but to be honest brussels is only an hour on a plane, and if you return the day after your op you wont usually have much swelling or discomfort to deal with on the journey.

im not trying to discourage anyone from any clinic, but i like to be inspired with confidence from the other party when doing anything like this.Bhr did that.

There is a great thing called a telephone which can be used for quick replies if you did have concerns after the op!

Thanks @Follicle. So did you have two ops with Dr. Bisanga then. Did you bother visiting any London clinics?

Hi iam considering a fue transplant and have read about the belgium ht surgeons, i noticed the thread was about feriduni but you seem to prefer bisanga i dont no a great deal about these surgeons but have read they are some of the best in europe.Did you have must shockloss which is something i have read about that terrifies me also did anyone notice you had a ht and how much time off work did you take off and roughly how much did it cost sorry for personal questions but i feel desperate to do something about it and you have been through it.

I know the above post is not aimed at me but Ill try to answer your questions:

I had 10 days off work, Scabs were off by day nine and I started using concealers again once the hair started shedding. I dont think anybody noticed, they only mentioned the short hair cut! If they did notice nobody said a word apart from the people I told.

I suffered a fair but of shockloss which has been growing back along with the transplanted hair. Ive written alot about it on my HT thread so feel free to take a look.

Hi,

Yes ive had 2 with dr B now and wouldnt go anywhere else.Im not sure what standard any of the uk clinics are up to these days but back when i was doing my research the info i came across wasnt so good.Having said that some of the celebs seem to have had decent results in the uk such as wayne rooney, but im not sure which clinics they attended.

If someone is happy with their results theres no reason to shop around for a different clinic,so its all based on personal opinion, thats why i big up BHR.This is an internet forum after all and i take peoples personal opinions from personal experience over hearsay and speculation any day.

pablo- shockloss is quite common from what ive read but is not usually extreme.i cant actually tell if ive suffered any this time yet or not but i probably have.As far as time off work,i booked 2 weeks off but went back after 1.5 weeks as my donour area was no longer visible as my hair grows fast. The recipient area is still a little pink but ive told people i burnt it in the sun.obviously everyone has different healing times.last time when i had double the amount of grafts i took 2.5 weeks off and was still red after that for a couple of weeks.

You have to be prepared for some down time if looking into a HT.from my experience your head/hair will look worse for a good while before it starts looking better. You have to look at it as a long term thing really rather than a quick fix.The best thing to do (even thought its the hardest) is to try and forget about it after the surgery.let your existing hair grow back to the point it more or less covers what youve had done (in my case it takes 5 weeks to grow back to the point i can style my hair again from having being shaved) and then get on with your life.Like i said its easier said than done sometimes.

No problem mate.

No id love to have just had 1 sesh but i think the majority of people end up having 2 or sometimes more. With fue i guess its difficult to address more than 1 area depending on the level of hair loss.

I didnt upload any pics beacause after the ht process i try to forget about it as best i can and get on with my life,i also knew a mate was mooching around on some of the hair forums and didnt want to be ousted lol.All i can tell you is whenever i see people i havnt seen in a few years, they want to know what ive had done and wont accept its just grown back on its own.dont get me wrong, your going to be hard pushed to have a full head of hair again depending on your level of hair loss, but what a good doc can do is create the look of density blended in with your existing hair.
